Have had this fireplace 2 months. Good quality material and nice looking piece of furniture. Does not put out much heat at all for the high price. Flame doesn't look too realistic either, but a nice looking entertainment center.

Husband and son were nearing the end of putting the "Fresno" together when it was discovered that...
Husband and son were nearing the end of putting the "Fresno" together when it was discovered that we had to send it back. First a couple of the screw holes on the platform would not accept those screws and so after much fussing, saw that we needed to try pulling /twisting out nails pointing up through where the screws needed to drop in.
Than after getting through that, it was unfortunate but the edge and corner of the top was damaged. A factory issue?? I had waited to be able to order and get that for some time. Really was a upset. So our son took it back for us. But returned with another type we like very much, one from the "Chestnut Hill collection", in Rustic Brown. Still need to put it together and sure hope this one will be a keeper. If the Fresno had worked out for us, we would have been very pleased with it. It set low, which would really be perfect so to best view a TV on the top. Still like it.

Nice furniture but fireplace is super fake
There are some really good electric fireplaces out there these days. This is not one of them. The furniture is actually nice and looks great in a living room, but the electric fireplace looks like something that was made in the 70's. Super cheesy and cheap looking.

Pleased with purchase
Was concerned about making a purchase online for a major piece of furniture that I had only seen in a picture and would have to pick up and put together myself. Very pleased in all areas. Was easy to pick up (home depot employees were very helpful) and fit in my car since it was in two pieces. Very easy to put together and looks beautiful. I use it in my basement so I feel the quality over exceeds what I was expecting and the fireplace warms the entire basement.

Totally Satisfied!
After reading some of the reviews of this TV Stand/Fireplace, I was a little skeptical about assembling this myself, but I had no problems whatsoever. It took about 2 hours of assembly with my 20 year old daughter - you just have to be organized, take your time and READ THE INSTRUCTIONS! We put in one panel upside down - easy fix - that was our only error. The pieces went together perfectly, the fireplace installed without a hitch and everything worked properly as soon as it was put together. I have to say, this is one of the best pieces of self-assembled furniture I have purchased! I would definitely recommend! BTW - I had it delivered to my local Home Depot store and picked it up myself to avoid any damage caused by a third party shipper. It worked!

Looks good - shoddy construction
There were several places where fit and finish were not even close. Specifically where the corners of the top piece meet. If I had more time I would have cut the staple holding the corners and refastened them correctly. From a distance you can't notice the fit problems that much but for almost $1,000 I would expect them to at least be close. Overall looks good and the fireplace insert has performed as expected.

THIS IS MY SECOND REVIEW APPARENTLY THEY DONT LIKE TO SHOW THE NEGATIVES OF THIS PRODUCT BUT HERE IT GOES. TOO PRICEY FOR THE CHEAP WOOD. HARDWARE WAS MISSING. FLAME ISNT HIGH ENOUGH. CABINET IS TOOOOOOO SHORT, SHOULD HAVE BEEN MUCH TALLER ESPECIALLY FOR THE PRICE. NOT WORTH THE MONEY. BUYER BE WARE

Looks great under my TV!
Pretty cool piece! Looks really nice. "Fire" is realistic enough to make it cozy. I didn't try the heat part of it yet so I can't speak about that. I like the way the fireplace is centered and built up higher then the side shelves. It makes it stand out more. It was pretty easy to put together. Good enough for what it's made of but it certainly isn't carved from solid wood. For that you'd be paying thousands. Overall it's worth it and it looks real good in my livingroom. It makes that whole wall. One more note...in order to fit the surge protector with all the plugs behind the unit, you may have to consider cutting out about 18 inches off the bottom back base so you can slide it underneath instead of leaving the unit off the wall so much.

Looks good but VERY heavy
This product looks great in our family room. We were disappointed to find a few hairline cracks in the white mdf frame when we assembled it, they are not big enough to warrant sending it back but for the price I'd hoped for better quality. The fireplace looks nice, especially like the adjustable light settings. When the heater is on it is a rather loud and the heat blows out of top of the fire unit so doesn't feel authentic. The dog quickly realized he wasn't going to get warm laying on the floor next to it so wandered off.

real flame fresno walnut
this TV stand is more like an entertainment center with a fire place.the material is completely solid. it says 100pounds but I've stood on it with a 100 pound TV and it didn't even creek.most of it is made of solid pieces of wood which is better than big furniture stores.great value and I bet long lasting. the fire place gives out good heat and has different temps.I have a 25 x 25 living room with no basement or second floor and heats it well.

I received my fireplace today. OMG it is beautiful, my son put it together and seem to be pretty easy, It is all I thought it would be even though I have to say I was a little nervous in the beginning buying something without seeing it. It is a Nice piece of furniture and is everything all the reviews say.

Great piece of furniture
Was hesitant to purchase online with out seeing first. Read the reviews and decided to go ahead. It came in a day early and looks great. Was easy to put together. Did it by myself in about 1 1/2 hours. Fireplace is great and puts out the heat I need in the living room. Great purchase.
