Easy to install, everything is soooo straightforward after watching two YouTube videos. Local plumbers were trying to charge $300-$500 for this “professional” installation.

The kit was very easy to use. Exact replacement for my Rheem natural gas hot water heater. Came with the new thermocouple, gasket, screws, and retaining clips. Instructions are very clear.

It had everything I needed and easy directions for installation. Perfect match and fit.

It wasn't an exact fit for my application but it worked. My unit is 15+ years old and it didn't seem to matter. I replaced my old paper gasket with the new rubber one and it was a little tight but did the trick. Nice that they include the tool and new screws as well.

Pay close attention to the description of what Rheem models it will allow you to service, specifically the thermocouple. Otherwise, it’s a perfect fit with everything you need to get a good seal, including the appropriate screw driver

Totally Wrong Part. Home Depot doesn't carry the right part for a water heater purchased at the same store 6 years earlier. Had to special order and that one was wrong too, even though the comments on the part for the model number said it was correct. Had to make 3 trips 100 miles total

OEM Thermocouple and gasket: Just what the doctor ordered for to replace a faulty/inoperative part on my water heater. Gasket has magnets greatly simplifying reinstalltion of burner chamber cover. Included directions were easy to follow and understand.

Nice complete kit. If you are handy and your pilot keeps going out, you should try this before paying the bucks to plumber. No offense to plumbers, I’m just about saving my own money when possible. Kit comes with tool, screws, lock nuts and the gasket. And of course thermocouple. Everything to do it right.

I was actually only out for the thermocouple because it looked about the size of the one I was needing for a commercial stove. It was a perfect fit and saved my thanks giving! Thanks!

Gasket fit fine but the thermocouple threads did not match the controller unit.

Woke up to no hot water. Thought my water heater died. Tried to re-light the pilot with no luck. After watching a few youtube videos I came to the conclusion that the thermocouple was bad. I have a GE water heater and after installing the thermocouple it the pilot stayed on and the problem was solved. I didnt need the other parts of the kit but you may. For $20 didn't want to mess around with cleaning the old one.
