OEM replacement. Can't go wrong with that.

Did not fit properly. The barrel was too large even though it was supposed to be the proper replacement for my model.

The thermocouple works fine. The door gasket is certainly needed but it doesnt come with the feed through gasket which will also fall apart when removing the old thermocouple. It is possible that this will not fix the issue and that the fuse circuit that the thermocouple connects to is bad

The gasket is a little smaller than the old one

Just what I need to get the hot water heater back online to get hot water again. Pilot light would not stay lit. I did a little research and found out the thermocouple was bad and used this kit to replace it. Work just fine now.

The part pulled up when searching for the water heater. However whereas the gasket was the correct gasket, the thermocouple was not.

This kit is perfect for water heaters that don't ignite anymore. Unscrew connections and screws, pull out, replace thermocouple and gasket. Easy. Tip: clean up the carbon ash/rust with vacuum while you are in there.

Bought two kits, and fixed two old Rheem water heaters. Really like the replacement plate gasket. The old one fell apart as removed the burner, and it was held in place with cruddy adhesive. The replacement gasket is held on with magnets, making it easy to position for screw holes. The replacement thermocouple worked perfectly. The only thing I would change is to also include a replacement for the round gasket that the three leads run through. My old ones were brittle and crumbled as I put the thermocouple lead through.

The kit has everything you need for the repair. The plumber gave us an estimate of $1150.00 to replace the water heater. The repair was simple and the instructions were complete. Under $25.00 you can not beat this repair kit ! Highly Recommended !

YouTube, Home Depot and 20 minutes was everything needed to fix my gas water heater. My thermocouple was tired after 12 years. The most challenging part was deciding the old thermocouple would destroy the gasket if forced through so I opted to cut off the probe end of the old part. The new part pushed through the gasket with minimal effort. Shower time!

The only thing that would make it better, is if it had the rubber gromet for the lines to go through.
