They used to be good brand but now it is just the worse. Whatever you do not buy this brand anymore. Save yourself the heart ache! I have redo the entire project now!

Great paint for my steel deck rails!

Painted Baby Changing Table. The VOCs and odors are terrible! It was Painted outdoors. Sat outdoors, day and night for 3 days. Moved into the garage. Sat there for 10 days. Moved to Nursery. Can't stand it. Open windows and two fans. Two weeks later still can't stand it. Tried ozone generator for one hour. Worked temporarily, but smell came back. What other paint can I spray over it to seal in the stench?

I love Rust-Oleum! It goes on easily and lasts and lasts! Great product!! I recently painted all of our trim and shutters, and the spray paint worked great for the shutters!!!

I love a satin finish and use this protective coating on most pieces I finish. Provides a good coating and sprays well.

Great shade of white. Sprays great, dries quickly for a nice finish.

PROS: Does exactly what it says, goes on with incredible coverage. Two light coats of dark red over a bright teal, and that was all I needed. Dries quick, smooth, clean. So far good durability too. CONS: Oh my god, each can of this needs to come with its own passport, because the overspray on this TRAVELS!!! I’ve done a lot of spray painting in my life, and never seen anything like this. I was painting relatively small pieces, so close distance and short bursts, in a makeshift paint-booth in my garage (dropcloths and cardboard on the floor, drop cloth walls on four sides), and STILL everything was covered in red mist. My car which was over 30’ away has a dusting of paint on it! It’s good quality paint, but the cleanup is a NIGHTMARE!!!

Ordered 2 cases (12 cans) for home delivery on Tuesday May 28th, 2019; received order Thursday May 30th. The product is as described and arrived in perfect condition. So far, I have used about 4 cans to apply a 1st coat to a small car. The car had previously been primered with Rust-Oleum's Professional gray primer (7582) over the original finish (sanded w/ 220 grit). I sanded the primer and then washed the car before painting with Gloss Lagoon enamel. The spray went on to form a nice, smooth coat with opaque color and a gloss finish. At this point, I intend to resand and apply a 2nd coat of Gloss Lagoon enamel, followed by a clear, gloss top coat. The spray pattern is good, however for critical work, I would recommend not trying to empty the can. As the pressure drops in the spray can, the spray volume is somewhat reduced, leading to incomplete coverage. Having to "fill-in" with repeated passes can lead to sagging on vertical surfaces. This is pretty typical of spray cans and I don't think it's a problem unique to this product. I love the color and have received positive comments from several neighbors. I think the value is good, and I would recommend this product. The service and delivery of my order was excellent, IMO.

I bought a couple of cans of the satin gray spray paint and applied it to my Central Air cage grill which was rusting through after many years. Also applied it to some Con Ed gas pipe in front of the house which was rusting. This was around end of August 2018. I noticed recently in April 2019 after about 6 months that Rust-Oleum formula did not arrest the rusting as rust started breaking through the paint and showing up again. See pics attached. I expected it to work and last longer than that! Although the price is cheap, I guess you get what you pay for. I have to re-do the paint job now.

Mirror finish used it on gas tank for my 1958 Harley made it shine like a mirror even after sanding it turned a dull finish into a high gloss

As always, a great product, easy to use, and a smooth glossy finish. It does take a bit to dry, but it's worth the wait if you want a perfect finish.

Wasted a lot of time when it all crackled under second coat. Painted the first coat and waited for 72 hours, more than 42 hours suggested by the instructions. Started to spray the second coat very lightly and the painted surface immediately started to crackle. See the picture attached. I won't finish the project on time and will never use Rust-Oleum for valuable projects.

Quality paint as far as aerosol cans are concerned. Lays nicely, with no runs, especially over Rustoleum Primer. Particularly liked the color of Satin Indigo blue . The pics show before, after media blast / premiered/ painted.

Great product easy to aply. On aluminum windows and gates.

I am a huge fan of Rust-Oleum products! My favorite use is to spray paint the metal frames on my patio furniture. I do this every spring, and it looks brand-new for the summer season. I also like it for fun projects in the garden. I recently used this pretty bronze color to paint some pebbles & create a pretty succulent ring

This paint covers good. Love this satin sage color, looks antique. Drawback - you can only purchase this color in a six pack case. Should make this available for single can purchase. Refinished antique cabinet, love the result (see pic).

The color was perfect once we did two layers, a deep, rich grey. There is not much paint per can though so we had to buy a lot of them to finish our porch project. The photo below was the first coat of paint. How about more paint per can?

This is such a great product! I use it on anything exposed to the elements as in fence hinges, mail box, hose guards, lawn chairs, etc. I first used it when I accidentally painted some old iron railings and a security door with regular paint (not paint specifically for metal). When the paint started rusting through I coated it with clear rustoleum and it saved my job! I have also used it on an old metal shed which I repainted with colored rustoleum paints to add some extra gloss (please follow instructions for more than one coat). I have used it over wood paint where it needs some extra protection and even bare wood. I prefer the gloss finish because it gives a nice, glazed look especially if you use more than one coat (again, pls follow instructions on can).

Used three coats and still splotchy! Doesn’t cover worth a darn.

i have been using rust oleum spray paint for 49 years . real good with a rattle can . i paint lawn mowers- tractors-snowmobiles & anything i want painted . i grab a can of rust oleum off the shelf . this paint has never let me down any color i pick . home depot always seams to have the color i have in mind . the 1/2 used cans sit in my garage all winter ( no heat ) i know they froze up. when may comes i shake up a can & use the rest of the 1/2 can with no problem

Paint with confidence. I repurpose and refinish some furniture depending on what i find.I found this brass and glass end-table that almost looks like the legs could be pipe pieces together. Somewhat an industrial look so i wanted to repurpose it for my man cave theme. After i roughed up the finish i applied this Coastal Gray satin finish on and absolutely love it. once i added the New wood top and added a small cabinet with a drawer under it, the end-table came out prefect. Great addition to my man cave and as always a great finish from Rust-Oleum

It’s black and shiny

We used it to refurbish a wooden Chinese jardinière stand. We chose the "satin black" which went on smoothly and dried quickly. The results speak for themselves (see before and after photos attached.)
