Waste of Money. Do Not Buy
First issue i had was less than 2 years after, of course the warranty expired. Fridge/freezer temperatures arent accurate. and as of about a week ago my freezer decided it prefers to stay at about 55+ degrees and my food all went bad and water piled up in the freezer. Would not recommend.

    Flawed ice maker
    the ice maker design is flawed. everyone i know with this model has the same problem. it freezes up and requires defrosting every two weeks to function. repair quote is almost 1/3 the cost of the appliance. to the dumpster. will not buy another samsung fridge. ever.

      Not worth the money
      fridge worked great for awhile, then the freezer started getting alot of ice build up. after doing some research online, it's a common problem. consumers spend way to much money to deal with these problems. we have everything samung, appliances, tv, sweeper etc.. might be time to rethink brands.

        SAMSUNG FRIDGE & ICE MAKER FUBAR
        We really liked the french door look and functionality in this refrigerator. Then after 2 years the ice-maker would freeze up and quit making ice. As a royal pain to using a hair dryer to defrost it every 2 weeks. Finally it quit. Never buy Samsung.

          Horrible Ice Maker
          had the fridge for a year with no problems. after that, the ice maker would freeze up all the time. can't go more than two days without it freezing up. tried a forced defrost as well as a full defrost many times, still garbage. by far, the worst money i've ever spent on an appliance.

            Avoid - Ice Maker will not last
            i have to completely defrost the ice maker every month or sooner so that the ice does not freeze up. i have started using ice trays. unit was fine during the first 2 years of ownership. last 2 years it has had this problem with no solution.

              just another disappointed customer with another samsung fridge that gets ice build up. worked great for a few years and then started making loud noise when fan was running. ice builds up and you have use a hair dryer to melt ice so noise stops. you shouldn't have to defrost a frostless refrigerator.

                I have learned I am among thousands who have bought this refrigerator had the same problem with the ice makers constantly freezing up and leaking water. You will have to thaw it out every week to get it to make ice.

                            we bought this refrigerator 2 years. after ends of the warrenty some parts are broken. we can not adjust the temperatue for the flexzone, the light for the freezer does not work anymore

                                We just figured out this is making us sick
                                Our two boys are having diarrhea because this fridge is keeping our food too warm. We have had three gallons of milk over the last three weeks go sour and we thought it was the store's fault. It wasn't. We have a repairman coming to fix the chunk of ice in the back of the fridge, the non-working icemaker and we will be throwing out all of the food in the fridge and pay the repairman $653 to fix.                                     Don't buy this. This refrigerator has constant ice maker problem. It also does not keep my food as cold as I like. I am looking at buying a different brand as you constantly have to have the ice maker fixed.

                                      Will not buy a Samsung fridge ever, ever again
                                      we bought our house last year, it came with this samsung fridge. we have had nothing but problems with ice build up in the back of the fridge. we have to constantly, each and every week, almost every day, run the fridge defrost. what happens if you don't, well the fridge interior temp climbs higher and higher until it's not longer a fridge at all. our interior temps are hitting 50 deg f (we put our own thermometer inside) . only a matter of time before we get sick. do not buy this fridge, even if it's free. this is a known defect. my entire family had samsung fridges, all of them had the same problem. will samsung send someone to fix this manufacturing defect, of course, as long as you pay. just fed up.

                                        Not cooling
                                        I purchased this refrigerator back in 2015, the compressor stopped functioning and not cooling. The service cost of repair is about $1,900 for replace the compressor. Samsung only provide 5 year compressor warranty, but my purchase date is 6 months passed warranty date. I have to purchase another another refrigerator, but not Samsung at next time. Not recommend to purchase Samsung refrigerator.

                                          The refrigerator and freezer function work perfectly fine. A major function of a freezer, however is the ice maker. This is a piece of junk. It has never worked, freezes over, etc.

                                            CONSTANT ICE MAKER PROBLEMS
                                            Not quite three years old and is on its second icemaker. Samsung did replace the entire icemaking system a little over a year ago at no cost to us. The fridge was out of warranty, so kuddos to them. The tech told us, "This will be the last icemaker you'll need for this fridge." All worked well until about a month ago. Now, water constantly pours out of the ice chute. Not a steady stream but enough to make us go through 4-6 folded up paper towels a day that we place below the chute. Other than the messed up ice maker, we love our Samsung fridge. Just wish we would have known then what we sure know now about Samsung refrigerators.

                                                this is the worst fridge i have ever owned. the ice make freezes up constantly and then the fridge makes a really loud humming noise. samsung is aware that these are faulty and refuses to do anything. read the reviews. so many complaints. stand behind the product you make or get out of the business!

                                                  Faulty ice maker.
                                                  i am happy with the refrigerator as a whole. the ice maker however, is another story. it is poorly designed causing the unit to freeze up. this causes us to shut it off and remove the maker unit. as it thaws in the sink, the hair dryer comes out and time warp 1960 happens. thaw the darn thing and clean up the watery mess. this is suppose to be frostless. i know and have also read that many others with this model are experiencing the same thing. samsung knows there is a problem but as of yet not had a recall. look, you make great money on them and that is fine. but when a flaw like this happens, you have to step up to the bar and take care of it. unless i receive a letter with acknowledgement of the problem and a resolve on samsung, i will not purchase another product or this brand again.

                                                    Ice Maker Freezing Over, Fridge very Loud in General
                                                    The fridge looks great. Is very loud and makes weird noises all the time. Bought about a year ago as part of a special running. Got it with the stove, microwave, and dishwasher. The stove and microwave are great. No issues to speak of yet. The dishwasher does the job but my older one was just as good. The fridge now is making us mad. The ice maker keeps freezing up and we go hours without ice. Samsung will not help.

                                                        Design Flaw
                                                        i normally don't write reviews but after waiting 2 1/2 hours on the phone with samsung i thought i would share my experience. i bought this unit back in jan 2019, was delivered a month later and roughly 7 months after that the ice machine started freezing. i thawed it out and for the next 8 months or so i am de-thawing it every 2 weeks on average. i finally call to have a service rep come out and it is out of warranty. so now i have a fridge that is worth less then the one it replaced (its ice maker still works and its over 10 years old). in a nutshell my business can go elsewhere from now on. this is a known error and many people have this problem, in other words a fatal design flaw that they keep shipping to customers.

                                                          if you want ice do NOT buy this refrigerator!
                                                          We bought this recrigerator August 2018. July 2019 the ice maker kept freezing up. After doing all the steps samsung made us do that didn’t work they finally came in July and fixed it. It worked great until July of 2020 it just stopped working!! No ice, no freezing just won’t work!! Ive have reached iut to Samsung but i have yet to get a response other than its not under warranty! Thanks Samsung for a faulty refrigerator! I could have bought a cheaper one that would probably make ice!
