I wanted to feed my new grass so I found Scott's Liquid Turf Builder lawn food but saw a number of reviews that warned of problems with the sprayer or the hose attachment. I figured I'd have better luck and bought a bottle anyway. But when I brought it home and hooked it up to a hose, water sprayed everywhere because the hose connector wasn't properly attached to the rest of the bottle, leaving a 360-degree gap on the other side of the green plastic screw-on. I thought about draining the bottle and putting it in another hose spray bottle I have. But I thought for nearly $15 Scott's ought to do better. I returned it, got a similar Vigaro product and saved six bucks. The lawn food inside the Scott's spray bottle is probably pretty good. But I never found out.

Did what it was suppose to

This product takes forever to apply because the dispensing rate is so low. Then, because it's a clear liquid in a white bottle, you can' tell how much you have applied without holding the bottle up to the summer sun and swishing it around. If you have two yard spaces such as I do, good luck telling how much has been applied. Scotts could put a few microliters of dye in this product for a huge user friendly improvement. It took close to an hour to empty the bottle. The slow application rate is terrible, and I wish I'd just used my broadcast spreader which takes a few minutes. If you think you're getting a fast and easy product, think again. It takes at least 4 passes to dispense it, which has you walking through it several times. Hopefully the dog doesn't decide to lick my shoes.

Bought three, only one worked. Not a problem with water pressure as CSR have claimed.

After 30 minutes of spraying my lawn less than two ounces of product was used. I checked several websites and this is a common problem apparently. I will be returning this product. This is the third Scotts product in a row that has been a disappointment

I hoped that the poor reviews I read were wrong. They were not. Used less than 50 foot hose with strong water pressure as instructed. After 30 minutes the bottle had barely use any product what a waste of time and money. Stick with gradual products at least you know they were spread on the lawn and your time wasn’t wasted.

So far so good. I have a small front yard and after my lawn service over-mowed, I now need to rehab my lawn. I purchased one bottle and used only half as my yard is small; will save the other half for later. This product is easy to use and gives fast results. Also, as an animal lover I am afraid of granule fertilizers because I do not want birds or squirrels to mistake them for seed.

No difference, and that's when the product even applies. * I watched the video to make sure I was doing it right. Last week was application #1, no product left the bottle ( yes, spraying in ON position), this week I nearly positioned the bottle upside down while spraying and a small amount of product left the bottle. Water pressure above the suggested psi. Yes, watering twice daily. NO WHERE ONLINE OR ON LABELLING DOES IT SAY HOW OFTEN TO APPLY. I've lost confidence in Scott's products from this.

After spraying my whole yard the bottle was still full no liquid fertilizer came out I had 2 bottles 2nd bottle same problem I won't buy this again

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I usually have great success with Scott products but didn't have very good sucess this time. I feel it was more the area I'm trying to improve than the product. It's a vacant lot next to me that I've been working on for two years. The contractor just spread the left over pea gravel out rather than scooping it up.

Purchased 2 bottles, neither will spray liquid fertilizer. Poor design.

On line ad states 3000' coverage, label states 2000'. 3000' coverage is a good deal at the advertised price. 2000' coverage, not so much.

The suction filter doesn't work on the product, so you end up watering your lawn instead of fertilizing

First time I use the liquid I normally buy the bags and put down with the spreader grass grew overnight turn green in two days I have to cut grass twice Very good

Save your money. This applicator bottle does not work. Product does not come out.

It is a hard to know how much you have actually applied as opposed to spreading granules that you can actually see on the ground. If there is a lot of wind it affects the application. You can only see if the grass is wet to know if you have applied it .

Had just put down new sod in the entire yard area. Sprayed the product as per the directions. Within 3 days grass looks great.

first the label says 2000 sq ft not 3000. Second it doesn't' work very good. The lever can only be put at one quarter or else none of the liquid comes out. So you have to use a very weak spray setting and I had to hold the bottle upside down. From now on I am going organic and getting a jug/bottle that I can use in my awesome sprayer that may take longer but goes on better. This thing does not work well with the hose........ Bad.

It was really easy to use

Good BUT the product measure window is BLOCKED by the hose I attach & the product is CLEAR so I cannot SEE how much is inside??

I can't believe they call this 2 in 1, with the second component being that you are watering your lawn !! It takes forever to apply. I started with one container and by 20 minutes it had not even delivered half of the container. I thought the applicator on the container must defective and switched to a second container. It was just as slow. If you have more than 45 minutes to apply fertilizer to 3,000 square feet of long, maybe this is an ok product for you. I found it useless to apply so slowly and will NOT purchase it again.
