These were different from the other, black, "patio cups" that I've seen. They wedged into the feet of my patio furniture very snugly. I banged them in with the heel of my palm but they wouldn't have gone in if I'd just tried to push them. They seat in the very bottom of the cup rather than indexing on the edge of the cup. If the cups on your furniture are 1/4" or less, these will work BETTER than the black alternatives and at significantly lower cost. The drawback for me, although minor, was that I had to order them because my store didn't have them in stock. The slight inconvenience was well worth it. Otherwise, if your cups are deeper than 1/4", go with the black ones.

The inserts were easy to install. I hope they will hold up. I think they are plastic and not nylon like the originals.
