Works great, easy to use. Protects the tree from water and disease after a limb is removed.

Just pruned our live oak trees and used the pruning seal to keep the spring induced critters & disease back. My family has used pruning seals on our trees for years. This stuff works, just remember to keep your pruning & saw tools clean (soap, water & Lysol) after using them. Sharpen them after every season of growth and your using them.

This a must foe all those who prune their trees especially here in Arizona. Every branch (especially the thick ones) should be sealed so th tree does not loose moisture. If this is not applied at the cut location, you will notice that the tree will try to cover it on its own; and that is not always successful. This will keep the tree healthy and green. You might have to reapply this as the tree grows, just to make sure there are no open areas where you cut the branches.

Pruning seal did what it was supposed to do. We shall see how many sprays the can lasts. First time user of spray. Have used “gel” before.

I sprayed the pruning seal on the trunk of my potted citrus tree yesterday. This is because, years ago, some critter had started to eat the bark off the trunk of the tree. I never saw what critter it was, possibly a squirrel or something else that likes tree bark. If he had eaten all the way around the trunk, the tree would have died. So I applied tree seal back then to protect the tree, and needed to reapply it now. Since I needed a new can of seal, I bought this spray-on version. It went on very easily; shaking it first is important, be sure and do that. It sprays pretty directly where you aim it, which prevents getting it on unintended areas. But still a good idea to put newspaper over nearby areas to keep them clean. It's smelly, so use it in open air situations. I just sprayed it on yesterday, so can't comment on how it does long-term. But I feel very confident that it'll keep anything from eating the tree bark. Be sure to read all directions before use. It says, after use turn the can upside down and spray it for a few seconds to clear the nozzle. That's important; it did clear the nozzle. Spray it towards a piece of newspaper so it won't make a mess. Hopefully, it'll still be clear the next time I need it, which probably won't be for a long time. So far, I think it's a good product.

Yes it protected the limbs, from insects and different bugs but it made new growth difficult. Not impossible, but difficult.
