Gorgeous wood! We have bought three 8 foot boards. We sanded, stained and polyed them. One is our fireplace mantle. The other two are the bench seats of my farmhouse dining table. They are beautiful!!!

I purchased this wood and wow it is amazing. Thick, great character, flat and ready for the DIY person. I don't have large, professional machinery and this is just what I needed. I had been researching where to buy, and this was the best wood at the best price in the USA. Swaner Hardwood will not disappoint.

Very tough to be satisfied when I paid almost $1000 and ordered 3 pieces. Was told all 3 were there. Picked up 2 boxes. Was assured there were 2 in one box and one in the other. Got to jobsite, ready to install, only 2. Called, after quite bit of a debate and being asked several times if I was sure there were only 2, was told the 3rd piece would be in in several days. Got an email a week later that it was there. Called ahead to make sure it was ready, was assured it was at the front pick up counter. Showed up to get it and after almost 2 hours of searching, no one could find it. Glad I called ahead :(. They reordered it and I was guaranteed by several that I was now a priority and would get a call and discount, etc. etc. Never heard back. Here we are a month later, I still don't have it and not sure what to do. Waaaay too much time & money spent on this crazy overpriced piece of wood. By the way, you still have my payment.

I usually just read reviews but decided to write one on the live edge walnut boards. I love working with wood and was surprized at how beautiful these are. They are center cut and display the grain in a perfect pattern. The shipping packaging was stout and they arrived with one small knick. I'm making floating shelves and hope to upload some pics when complete. Welding is done and time to create the shelves. I want to thank you for a superior product, hard to find these days.

Crack down one side. Knot hole other side. I’ll send it back before i use it for fire wood

We added legs and lacquered the top

Good to see live edge on both sides; felt disappointed that aggressive chatter marks showed on one side which I guess were generated when the slab was debarked, I had to scrape and sand off much sapwood to smooth it our; lots of defects on the other side, I had to remove the bark pockets which I am planning to fill up with epoxy later...

It was not ideal that the board had bright blue paint on it that could not be sanded off without ruining the aesthetic of the wood. Considering the price, I was disappointed.

Was a little skeptical buying without seeing, but the slab arrived intact and as pictured.

12 “ was maximum width for about 3” price too high for this product

As advertised, fair price, excellent quality. Used as a bar counter top with epoxy resin, beautiful finish.
