Doors did not fit!I based the order on the measurements...
Doors did not fit!I based the order on the measurements required on internet. My doors measure 60x80 inches to framing. That's what was ordered. Doors came in that dimension but mounting "ears" extend beyond studs as installed in standard construction! On one side both studs were missed!

The Steel Patio Security Door has standoff mounting brackets. when installed there is a gapbetween the wall and the security door large enough to reach behind the door and manually unlock the dead bolt and door lockset. The is a very bad design. had I known it was like that I would not have purchased it.

We found the distance between door jamb and wall is...
We found the distance between door jamb and wall is 2 inches. Any hand can go through this gap to open the security door inside. We changed the both side key lock, but using short screw driver you can easily take the lock off inside. The security patio door is not secure. please help me!

To fit most standard sized patio sliding door, this door has a 3"" projection mount to allow for no interference with the sliding glass door. For more security, a double cylinder can be installed. Some building code and city ordinances restrict the use of double cylinder deadbolts on doors that are a primary point of egress. The homeowner is solely responsible for compliance with local code and ordinances

The mesh was extremely easily ripped when removing the door from its packaging. One tear in the mesh was already present when taking off the cardboard, a second tear occurred when the door was leaned up against a chair. Assembly was not nearly as seamless as the installation video made it seem.

All in all it is a good product. I bought the projection one but probably should have got the flush mount. The projection sounds better for the handle clearance but in my application there is no interference. If you buy the projection one you WILL need to trim around it or the lock is useless.

We are extremely happy with the door! Only 1 problem that we are still working on. There is a gap around the edges of the door where critters can get in. We were not aware of the gaps but are working on them. We like the door very much & do recommend it just be prepared for some extra work.
