Sturdy and well built for securing your door

Works great

This is a very high quality lockset. My issue is with the strike plate. The one provided is fine for wooden doors, but will not work for Metal Doors, and the original manufacturer does not have one that fits a metal door, even though the product description says it is for wood and metal doors. Metal doors come with the hole and strike plate pre-cut. My other issue is that the bezel does not cover all of the opening in the metal door.

Fixed 2 3/4" backset. This is a solid lock with a removable KNK-type core, which means it's easy to rekey or to replace with another type of core (Schlage Primus; Medeco; etc.). It's well-built of solid cast metal, unlike many of the stamped metal components of some of the locks in the same or lower price categories. The only problem with it is that it has a fix 2 3/4" backset - which is not noted anywhere on the packaging. This limits its use on residential buildings, most of which have a 2 3/8" backset. I wouldn't have a problem with this except it doesn't state the backset anywhere on the packaging and even the instructions inside mention 2 3/8" backset options.
