This is the 2nd time I have used this product and it has worked great!
Yes its white in color, kinda milky looking but it dries crystal clear! It smooths out nice and even, without brush marks if you follow the directions ! I apply 3 or 4 light coats and it looks beautiful.

I had a hard time getting the sheen to be even. Came out streaky and had to sand and reapply another layers. Never got the streaks to disappear.

We want to try to help! To ensure the best finish with Rust-Oleum Varathane Water-Based Ultimate Polyurethane, the surface needs to be dry, and the product needs to be applied with a good quality, synthetic bristle brush, foam brush, or applicator. It is also key that the product is applied within the recommended weather conditions and that it is not overworked on the surface.

Bought this clear coat for interior of cabinets and drawers I am building for our bathroom remodel. I used a brush on the smaller cabinet, and sprayed it on the larger unit. Will probably put two to three coats on for a better look (recommended).

                Scratches easily
I’ve used this many times and it scratches so easily. You can even scratch it with a. FingernAil. Going to find another brand.

We appreciate the feedback! The Rust-Oleum Varathane Water-based Polyurethane achieves maximum hardness when it fully cures in 7 to 10 days. Until then, it can feel dry to the touch but is still soft underneath, which is why abrasive contact like a fingernail to the finish would cause scratching. Keep in mind that you will need to allow more dry time at cooler temperatures, and a thicker coating application can extend the dry time as well. - Rust-Oleum Product Support 5 Rustoleum

Super easy to use. I used a foam brush. I used it on a Live Edge table top. 5th one I built using this product, Put on a coat, let it dry for 2+ hrs, used an orbital sander & 400 grit sand paper to knock down the ridges, Repeated the process 5 times and the finish is gorgeous. I did 5 coats (only 3 needed) b/c the table was for a friend and I wanted it to be perfect.
