So I'm no stranger to using epoxy this one is pretty user friendly, it's just an equal parts epoxy mix and it comes in two separate parts part a and part b obviously you mix the two parts together and mix them thoroughly and pour over your surface well mixing I would always recommend try not to introduce air bubbles in the mix cuz it just makes it just a little bit more complicated and difficult to get the air bubbles out on your finished product but other than that it's really just user-friendly

This is a great product. You can use it for many different things in many different ways. It is great as a solid surface for tabletops but can also be used to make molded items such as jars, trays etc. (see photo). You can also use this product to fill in gaps and holes in any item you wish. This product is a nice translucent gray color. Light shines through it nicely but also dries solid. I have used a number of products like this and this does not create bubbles and it dries very uniformly. I would highly recommend for many home uses.

VARATHANE 1 QT. GLOSS CLASSIC GRAY SUPER GLAZE FINISH AND PRESERVATIVE (3-PACK) is a pre-dyed epoxy resin that gives the advantage of consistent coloration. It is very thick with a very high gloss. Kit includes the resin and the activator and takes eight hours to dry. It must be applied in a dust free area for a smooth glossy finish. It’s oil based so mineral spirits are needed for clean-up. Purchasing the three pack saves a few dollars over single purchases. The possible uses include inlaid epoxy “rivers” in raw edge tables and countertops.

This is a heavy duty tinted epoxy. Just like traditional epoxy it is two part and mixed in a 1:1 ratio. This is super helpful, especially mixing in small batches. You just have to mix equal parts. It also is very thick at its lightest applications. Make sure you are wearing gloves and a respirator. I would recommend mixing and using this outside. If indoors, make sure you have the area well ventilated.

Varathane 1 qt. Gloss Turquoise Super Glaze Finish and Preservative (3-Pack) I really like this coating. I just did a little project to check it out on a picture frame. First, don't let the greenish color of the box fool you, this color is like an aqua marine/turquoise, like the color of deep pool water when it is a little thicker. As it runs down the sides or to a lower area and thins out, it turns more clear. It is runny like thick pancake syrup. After 24 hours it is pretty durable, but it takes 72 hours to fully cure. I think the best use for it would be to use it on a flat horizontal surface like a counter, shelf or furniture top, so you could build a dam and hold the liquid to a thick coating, recommended up to 1/6 at a time according to the instructions. I'm not sure if you could make a thicker pour, like 1 to 4 inches at one time or not, Varathane needs to address that. Beautiful finish with no air bubbles, if you didn't touch it, you would think it was wet blue water. Caution, you will see through it to whatever you are covering, so make whatever you are covering look good before you coat it.

This is a messy process, as all pour epoxy is. One must mix the 2 step gloss and epoxy to use. The epoxy is near black in color, but once the gloss is added to it, the dark color will lighten quite a bit. Tape and plenty of plastic will be needed for the run off. Also a squeegee or something akin will be needed to evenly spread the epoxy. The wonderful thing about this product is that only one coat is needed. If more coats are applied, whatever it is applied to will last forever.

We appreciate you sharing your experience! Please keep in mind, if using Rust-Oleum Parks Super Glaze Finish and Preservative on a porous surface, like paper or bare wood, a thin coat may need to be applied first to help seal the surface.

I have done several projects using this product. Just have to make sure you follow directions on the measurements, and not too much product at one time. Several layers is better than a thick layer. Air bubbles do form, but just by blowing on them makes them disappear.

My son and I put together a beautiful nautical chart table top. We mixed this product thoroughly and poured it on as per the instructions. It never cured and is sticky and still liquid in places. Don't buy this, you will be disappointed. Wasted a lot of money. Really, the worst product I could imagine.

Yikes, something is amiss here! To ensure proper drying, it is essential to mix the two parts of Rust-Oleum Parks Super Glaze Finish and Preservative per the instructions and ensuring they are mixed with equal parts. We want to hear more about your application and try to make things right with you. Please give us a call at 800-901-0411 for further assistance!

I bought this as a "rebound product" after having very poor results with Famowood (another 2 part epoxy). This seems a bit more versatile and has dried 95% after using 4 days ago. Still not completely satisfied, even though I followed the instructions exactly. It's not difficult. 1 part resin, 1 part hardener, mix for 3 minutes in a bowl/cup, then pour into a separate bowl or cup. Why they want you to pour into a separate one, I have no idea. Easy to get air bubbles out. You can use a heat gun on low temp setting or simply blow air through a straw onto the epoxy and they dissipate in seconds. Really curious as to why it's taking almost a week for the epoxy to set completely dry. More curious as to how many other people who use epoxy have run into the same debacle. If anyone cares to answer that, I'd love to hear comments or suggestions!

super easy to use, looked great! make sure to epoxy in a low to no dust area.. I did in my garage since there are no vents to stir up the dust.. make sure to cover as well, so the bugs don't get stuck in your finish!

Looks great but feels like rubber
Used this on a pine top that already had a thin coat of polyuretane and the result looks very beautiful, almost like glass. However, I expected it to dry rock solid, but instead it ended more like a hard rubber. Its not bad, but I think there are much stronger epoxies in the market

Something is amiss here! Our Rust-Oleum Parks Super Glaze Finish & Preservative is a high-solids 2-part epoxy that should cure to a crystal clear and very hard finish. If the coating is not tacky, we recommend applying a thin second application over the surface to harden the first pour, and provide the expected hardness and durability. We need to know more about the mixing steps and application to get to the bottom of this. Really nice smooth glossy finish. I used a sponge brush to apply in two layers over three days. Surface does scratch easily, I should have drilled the holes for my leg mounts before finishing. Otherwise a great product! PRO TIP you can remove uncured epoxy with denatured alcohol

The produce worked as described. I do not use it for the intended purpose. I add coloring agents to it to fill the open areas of the wall hanging creations I make. If you let the product firm up slightly (about an hour) then you can dip a wooden or plastic coffee stirrer into another color and then touch the material in the image and drag another color into the first one.

First time user. I used it to get a level surface and gloss finish on a chessboard made from scrap wood made of 64 individual 1.5 x 1.5 inch pieces - which means there were a lot of 'ups and downs' which couldn't be sanded flat because the 'dark' squares were just stained rather than being solid dark wood. I watched youtube videos and learned from them. The finish came out absolutely perfect, got bubbles out with a heat gun as the epoxy set, no 'waves' in surface, dead flat after self-leveling. I recommend this to anyone, but you need to read and understand the directions, don't skimp on mixing time, seal your surface ahead of time, have your heat gun or hair drier handy while you pour, and you'll get great results.

Very easy to use if you follow the directions! We used it to create some artistic designs for our cabin. Made cut-out designs, then arranged pieces of tile and rocks into them, then mixed up the epoxy and poured it in. Very nice, durable, clear finish locks it all together. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for something to fill in a table top, carving, etc.
