The most common reason a lawn does not respond to fertilizer is soil pH. Soil pH must be in-between 5.5-7.5 for fertilizer to be absorbed by the grass. You may want to perform a soil pH test. Thatch over 1/2-inch thick prevents the nutrients from getting to the plant roots. It is possible that the grass may be under stress from disease or insect activity. A continued or general yellow look may possibly indicate a lack of iron.

Products can absorb moisture if stored where water can get on them or shipped in humid conditions. We have made great efforts to reduce the instance of this happening but unfortunately we have not been able to completely prevent it. We recommend that you do not attempt to apply a wet product. Instead, dispose of it according to package directions.
