Nice unit but there is a learning curve to get meals correct

The igniter failed soon after I received this grill. They want another $250 to replace the entire gas insert. There is no safe way to light this grill without the igniter. When the grill actually worked, I found it takes way too long to heat up enough to cook anything. I'm very disappointed in the product and even more disappointed in the customer service. Anyone in the market for a used grill?

The gas igniter only works a couple of times, then you'll have to replace it. We bought this grill in Sept. 2020, and had to replace the igniter lead 3 times. We'd probably have to have replaced it about 10 times by now, had I actually had the time to replace the igniter lead once I received it in the mail, but it's a pain. They even sent a whole new gas insert replacement. And I'm sure once their 3-year "warranty" is up, they will no longer send igniter leads for us to continue to replace.

I love it and great deal

The lp gas option is not good. Takes forever to heat up and is dangerous to use. It can flare out of lower vent and singe you.

This grill exceeded my expectations in every way. The packaging- it was incredibly well packaged. Assembly was straightforward, including the included tools. The cooking experience is amazing. The heats up fairly quickly to 400° or more. I have been making steaks by searing them directly on the lava stone and it’s low position. That seems to work wonderfully. I also made a couple of pizzas I’m Lavastone, placing it on top of the Wire rack. This worked well but I can see where it will take some experience and playing around to get to the right heat distribution to get the bottom and the top cooked at the same timing. I have yet to use the gas insert, but I’m looking forward to that as well. It seems extremely well-made and I’m optimistic It will last longer than my previous grills have. I have no buyers remorse. I feel like that for the extra money I spent on this grill I got some value and satisfaction that I wouldn’t have out of a high-end standard propane grill.

Excellent for the price. I truly believe that it can do anything the other more expensive brands can do plus it has the gas insert. Bye bye to the old rusty gas grill, charcoal grill and smoker i have. It’s all wrapped up in the Vision Kamado. If in the market for a kamado take a serious look at this one. You’ll be happy you did. Only complaint is, it’s showing minor signs of rust after first month but i live by the ocean, all the others would do the same.

This Kamado is an excellent addition for those seeking to up their grilling game! The cooker holds temperatures extremely well and is easy to clean for another round of cooking

Had a previous Vision without the propane insert which was great. No problem with it ever, but I wanted to update my grill capabilities. This new propane insert is awesome. I now have the best of both worlds!

Love this grill - I missed the charcoal taste I wasn't getting on our gas grill. I've never attempted to smoke anything before, but this grill makes it look easy. I was able to smoke a beef brisket that was AMAZING and have since done steaks, burgers, hot dogs...all came out great!

This grill is the best thing ever! Having the ability to switch between charcoal and gas is fantastic. So much better than having a gas grill and charcoal grill separately. The only thing that is a pain is storing the separate components (one for gas and one for charcoal). But we found a great outdoor storage box to put them in.

It was easy to assemble and works great.

This is the best smoker I have ever used. It is so easy to set up and uses just a small amount of charcoal and wood. I am extremely pleased with the Vision Kamoda Grill/Smoker.

Excellent quality. Works great.

Bought this for the dual fuel feature. Works well for all uses. I have done everything in this in the short time I've had it - baked bread, smoked ribs, cooked flatbread, seared steaks, and weeknight burgers, fish, and roasted veggies. Switch from gas to charcoal is a breeze. Assembly was easy and the delivery service wheeled it around to the back of the house.

I purchased this grill last July. The gas insert to convert to propane stopped working about a month after I purchased. Customer service is literally the worst customer service I have ever encountered. I have emailed now ten times, called 3 times with no return of email or phone call. As a smoker and/or Charcoal unit it is fine. As an advertised dual cooking unit for 1000.00 it is an absolute rip off. I do not write reviews, literally my first one. Do not waste your money and buy something else. If you want to use as a propane grill you will kick yourself for spending the money. Vision, you should be embarrassed and ashamed by your quality and your lack of response to concern.
