My new apartment has a small bedroom. Despite the ceiling fan and the window A/C unit, air just doesn't circulate enough. After reading lots of reviews I chose this fan and am happy that I did. It works so well that I bring it into the kitchen when it gets too hot from cooking and baking. Great fan, great value.

The only thing was it wasn't a great volume of air but blew at a great distance but in small area.

I had high expectations for this product; however, once I got home to use it, it was not as powerful as I expected. The fan stayed in one direction and did not go across the whole room as it stated. I was expecting more cooler temperature for the amount of money spent on this product.

The fan is unbelievable. It puts so much air out it is amazing. If you are looking for something to cool you off and really feel the air, you should put out the money for this fan. If I had the money, ($70+), I would get another one. Maybe next year. Do not hesitate to buy this product!

I have had another Vornado fan for several years, and was looking for a smaller, more portable fan. This 9 inch fan was just right, and a good value for the price. I like the quiet hum, and how I can focus the airflow.

My wife loved this fan so much she took it from me. It sits in her office in the daytime and in the bedroom at night. Its light and easy to move and moves air insanely well, which keeps the house cooler and saves money on our utilities bill . It will pay for itself in less than a year I'm guessing. I only bought it because it was sitting on the checkout counter and I saw how well it was working.

This had is exactly what I was looking for. My HVAC air ducts are on the floor downstairs and I have 14 foot ceilings. During the Summer months, it often times becomes difficult to sufficiently cool the downstairs - but the fan, when placed near an air duct, forces the cool air up into the space. Interestingly enough, my electricity bill is slightly lower now. I'm crediting this fan!

got good power but with an annoying humming noise that gets worse if you tilt it up. it does its job, but not something I want to use at night

I bought the Vornado 9 inch, 3-speed floor fan for my daughter in Spokane, WA as a gift. She was able to pick up the fan from her local Home Depot store the next day and has been comfortably using it every day since then. Very easy set-up and the fan is absolutely quiet at all speeds. She totally enjoys having it in her apartment. We highly recommend this fan. What are parents for?

The wife loves the fan for two reasons. One is that is does a great job and two it makes that little bit of noise that she likes to help her sleep.

I love this fan it is amazing how such a small fan can move so much air. It works better than fans twice it's size. This was a replacement for my last " vornado" that one lasted 10 years and laterally was running about 90% of that time because it got left on many times. We'll worth the few extra dollars you will spend over its competitors.

Small size great for dorm living! Helps move air about room since daughter does not have a/c at college.

Fan type 630 lasted about 2 years and it died it was under warranty I called them and they sent me a new one in about 4 days great service.

This fan is worth the extra money. I liked it so much I bought another one in a different size. Love Love Love these fans!

Great fan. Quite (relatively), very directional which is what I needed. Looks good too. A bit pricey for a fan but it's useful.

The Midsize 630 is just perfect to help cool our new campervan. The air conditioner in it is not sufficient, but we can always count on our Vornado circulators. We have five full size models that we use at home or take along when visiting others who like a too-warm temperature in the summer. Can't do without them! Never have had a problem with any of them.

Cool a room with a fan on the floor? Yes! that's exactly what it does, with so little noise, even on high, that we don't have to raise our voices to be heard. And we don't have to use the air conditioner as much.

My husband purchased this brand fan some 15 yrs ago and it just burnt out. I found a new one while searching on Homedepot.com I had to make a purchase, I could not wait for delivery. I use my fan daily I experience hot and cold moments so its nice to have this fan on hand for cooling and or just simply moving the air around where we do not have ceiling fans. It works wonderfully! I am pleased to own another Vornado fan.

I received the 630 model as a gift for my living room. I have a 550 in my bedroom. While the model does circulate the air, in order to remove the grill to CLEAN it, you have to remove 3 screws. The screws are at the end of an extremely NARROW, LONG hole that requires a special not your run of the mill screwdriver. After I purchased that I spent the better part of a HALF HOUR trying to get the screws out. I got 1 out of 3 and lost 45 minutes of my life I'll never get back AND I still have a filthy fan. Not happy. Won't be buying another fan that makes it so difficult to keep clean.

I own 4 of these fans and one classic 723B. The quality and performance is unmatched. They are used in various rooms in our house and one was sent to our son for his college dorm.

I had to improve circulation in a large closed room (think 2 car garage) without using a lot of floor space and multiple fans. This one fan does it very well. It alone is what I use to cool the area. Definitely worth the money I paid for it.
