We had a ceiling light fixture short out in the area at the top of our stairs and not able to afford an electrician to deal with it at this time. The Westek Plug-In Motion-Activated Light Control was the perfect solution to bringing light and safety back to this area of our home. I plugged a swag lamp into the light control and positioned the motion sensor at the top of the stairs. The product performs very well. An especially nice feature of the control is that you can set it for a light to stay on from as little as 1 minute up to 20 minutes after motion is detected.

Works well to turn on a lamp when we come into the house. Pick up area is wider than I expected, but I was able to tweak things easily.

Works ok. does not sense light during day though. Had a problem getting it to work because it was next to wi-fi extender that keep it on most of the time. Move extender away and nmow works.

The first unit I got (online order) was DOA. The second one worked as I wanted. The wired remote sensor is why I purchased it.

Great little unit! Now when I walk into my kitchen my under cabinet lights all come on in unison like magic! No more feeling around for separate on/off switches and you don't need an app for it. It just works all by itself.

Works great, doesn’t seem sensitive enough to use the 4 sec setting on a closet light, but 1 min setting is just fine.

Worked well with a timer on my train set with two train.

Product does everything as advertised and the variable timer is fantastic, We use this as an automatic night light on stairs and the one minute option is perfect for our needs. Unit comes with a weighted base for the sensor and two mounting screws to for a permanent mounting. The one con I have is the length of the cord for the sensor. For my purposes a longer cord would be useful and allow the unit to be hidden instead of exposed.

Would have given it a 5 star if it has a light sensitivity adjustment so it will turn on when it ifs dark

I have this hooked up to all of my lamps and little lights in my room. I like this becsuse I dont have to worry about light switches and stuff like that. It sometimes comes on randomly or turns off too early (I have it set to go off after 20MINS) Like maybe 10 mins early... Other than all of that I really like it!

Similar to other reviews there seemed to be too much of a lag time between when I crossed the sensor and when the lamp I plugged into it came on. However, through the evening the lag time seemed to shorten. Does it make sense that the sensor needs to "warm up" or something? We'll see if it continues to work long term.

This switch turned out to be just the thing to complete a project to install lighting for the interior of my gun safe. Kits with motion sensing switches seem to average $150 or more. With this switch and 20 feet of rope light you have safe which is well lit and automatically switched for about $40

Although the switch on reaction time is a bit slow, it gets the job done quite well and I'm well pleased with this fine product . . . .

Bought this to attach to a string of lights that I ran coming up the stairs for the dog because she no longer sees as good as she used to. I mounted it on the floor and it works perfectly. Turning on when it needs to and not staying on too long.

Used this product to light our Christmas tree when guests entered our front door. It allowed the display to be lit only when it would be viewed, both entering and exiting the house. Very satisfied!

Easy to put into use. Sensor can be placed on a flat surface or hung on wall. Timer for 'on' time can be adjusted as needed. Plug in a light to illuminate a room when you enter and your hands are too full to turn on a wall switch. Very helpful to my aging parents, in bedroom, living room, or bathrooms for accent lights. I'll get them a few more! Plug in some rope lights to subtly illuminate under a bed or kitchen countertop.

I don't like that still working during the day, just I need light at night, well is not so bad... I use this product in my patio area, I think is a good product.
