I have had it for a few months now and so far the water is great. No need to scrub my toilets everyday anymore. I have high BP so I need to use a water filter for drinking water, other then that it is great :D

This unit replaces a 14 year-old Whirlpool unit. I stayed with Whirlpool, and EcoPure Home, because of the longevity of the first unit, and because of the excellent availability and customer service of EcoPure Home. The only reason I did not rate the transaction 5-star, is the slight cosmetic damage the unit apparently incurred in shipping. It is clear these are not properly packaged to withstand normal handling, since, while the cardboard shipping container was not damaged, the brine tank deck still suffered a crack, and was actually forced off the tank at the right rear corner. I re-seated the deck onto the brine tank without difficulty, and the slight cosmetic damage did not affect performance in any way. Still, for the price, one expects to receive undamaged goods. I will continue doing business w/ EcoPure, as this was not their responsibility.

Really happy with quality of our water now since we had really hard water

Works as expected but did leak at the orings when first installed. A bit surprised. Applied more of the grease provided and moved the orings to another spot and this seemed to solve the problem

I had a plumber install it and it seemed fine. The next day it was overflowing with water. Tech support helped me clear that issue. But the next day the control panel was inoperable. Again Tech support helped diagnose the issue. For the next few days, the unit was stuck on “fill” causing it to overflow which killed 3 bushes due to the salt and increased my water bill. Ultimately I received replacement parts that I installed - so far so good. Bottom line is the unit had significant issues when delivered, but Tech support was very helpful.

We had a lot to learn but got it figured out since this was our first water softener. Moved to the country and never needed one before! Works great!

Installed and appears to be working fine. Nice clean lines. Wish it would have been a match to the Kenmore connections. Had to replumb my hoses to line up with the connections on the Whirlpool.

Bought about a month ago and it has been working great. Install was very straight forward. Instructions were very easy to follow and written clearly. My first impression is that it is going to be a money savor as it doesn't appear to use as much salt as our older unit. The old unit always seemed to be regenerating, and this one up to now gives me the impression of not requiring nearly the amount of alt as the unit we replaced. Looks and works great! I am a pretty handy and as I mentioned early the installation was a snap. I really like having a single compact unit with everything contained within. Highly recommend.

Excellent customer support and no nonsense approach to issues

I installed the softener 3 weeks ago. The purge and regenerate used about 65 us gallons. the last time I checked the old softener it used about 237 us gallons to regenerate. The old softener was built in 1976 and I repaired it a couple times in the last 23 years. This one will pay for its self in around 2 years on water saving alone. Ask me in 5 years how it works. Only drawback so far is it does not show how many gallons to regeneration so you never know when it will regenerate.

I have this little more than a month and lots of soft water.

Replaced 12 yr old Kenmore softener, new one uses way less salt pellets!! Wish my new softener came with a user manual, can you mail a paper user guide to me?

We live out in the country and had really hard water this system works superbly and makes our skin feel great toilets cleared up great still clearing actually and my clothes are much cleaner. This fine was 100% worth it and I would recommend it to anyone. The only sad thing was we purchased it and then a week later the price went up $80 I'm glad we purchased it when we did. I really don't like price gouging but we're seeing it all over right now it's very sad. My recommendation to the company is please keep your prices low you will get more customers.

Everything is great with unit. It would be nice to redesign salt tank to high for salt.

I purchased the WS40 whirlpool water softener about a month ago. Easy set up and install. Only issue I have is a leak in the bypass valve. Hoping to contact whirlpool soon for resolution. Other than the leak, unit working well. Pleased so far.

Very easy to hook up DIY …. Has worked 100% from the moment it was connected.

Works great. Replaced an old Kenmore that I had for years. Only problem I have is I can’t get the by-pass valve to stop leaking. If I can get that fixed I would give it 5 stars.

I bought this water softener about a month ago. It came shipped with a broken drain outlet (where the hose connects). Luckily the previous water softener I replaced had a drain outlet that was identical. They might think about protecting that fluted connection when shipping. Otherwise, it was easy to install and operate.

Very compact design compared to more traditional multi part water softeners. Easy to program and operate and the interior reservoir light is super handy.

This is the second 40000 Grain Softener I've purchased. The first one died after 7 years mainly due to my neglect of preventative maintenance. I'm following the maintenance schedule now and I'm sure this one will last much longer. I bought one for my son's house and he's very pleased with it.

I bought and setuped the machine about a month ago. That device changed my life! No more fish smell in the water, no more stains. The device do exactly what it states it should do. At first i was surprised at the manifold that come with the device, I thought that it was feeling mickey mouse kind of plastic (im used to brass stuff). I was wrong. Polymere is strong and doesnt drip water. Im still surprised, maybe that machine was overkill for my house (2 adults and 3 very young children). I didn't add salt since the first filling, it seems that the machine is very economic compared to reviews of other brands I seen. For warer flow, I have a piston pump with a tank at 65 PSI. Im running 3/4 pex amd didn't saw any drop in water pressure. Pure crystal water. I really hope that the machine will stay reliable. ATM, very impressed and would buy again without any hesitation. Only negative point to me is that the machine should have come with a PEX 3/4 and PEX 1" adapter already, just add 10 bucks to the package really, it was a pain looking for two of these. FYI, order it already online if you look for that machine, big store doesnt carry these PEX adapters. You'll need swivel adapter and plumber grease for the o-rings.

Got this to replace old leaking softener. Chose this for price, compact design, and salt saving feature. The salt saver is off by default so I enabled it. Looking forward to handling fewer heavy salt bags. Not sure what the trade off is - I assume more water usage.

I have had this for a month and it seems to no working good. I do however wonder how I can see shen my next regeneration is to happen or when the kat on did happen
