I bought this unit as a replacement for a 17 year old Kenmore unit that appears to have identical inside components. That unit was trouble free until the end and I am hoping that this new unit will perform equally well. Great so far. The controls on the old unit were lighted and there was a built in water meter reading on the panel. I do miss those features.

Great softener. Easy to understand instructions make the installation easy. Great product. Unit was packed well to insure no damage during shipping / handling.

It's been almost a month and works perfectly the water gets really no hard water I test the water's hardness and really I'm very happy with the result.

Had a Whirlpool softener for 17 years before this one. hopefully this one will last as long. The only issue is there are some symbols in the display screen that are not explained in the setup instructions.

I purchased this unit to replace an existing Kenmore Pro unit that was < 10 years old. The Whirlpool unit is performing well! Only complaint is that the unit does not support WiFi App for control and status.

My previous Whirlpool water softener was 14 years old and had a high pressure drop. I bought this new Whirlpool 40,000 grain water softener and it is working perfectly. I installed it myself, and it worked first time without an issue. What was great about it was the fittings didn't change.

I bought this water softener because I had a similar one for the last 18 years and it did such a great job that I wanted to get the same one.

Installed a few weeks ago, very easy to install and set up. Working fine and very satisfied.

Does a great job softening the water. Plastic fittings a bit temperamental. I would have given it 5 stars except for those fittings.

This is an upgrade replacement from a 32,000-grain water softener whirlpool that stopped working after 6 years of installation.

I had a same Whirlpool LL40 which lasted me 14 good years in Arizona. This new upgrade version LL40E…just about a month & it is working great. No issues and hopefully will last another 14years. Overall very good quality!

Installed in under an hour. Works great so far. Water is noticeably softer.

Only 2 weeks old but seems to working great. Excellent instructions (downloaded manual) made for an easy install and setup. Instructions should be updated to include more information about using the CLEAN / CLEAR WATER IRON REDUCTION feature and also the warning of not to sanitize the softener if using rust removal salt.

Got this on sale installed it myself and was suspect of the way the bypass valve assembles into the rear. After applying water pressure I noticed a small leak which the customer service quickly sent me out a kit to address it. I have yet to install it but I am confident that this will take care of a very minor dripping. Otherwise I'm very happy to have a new unit that replaces a very old system

The soft water is amazing! Working great! Easy to install.

Bought this to lower the hardness of water here in north Texas which is 192 ppm. Softness level only goes to 125ppm but anything is better and I already feel a difference while taking a shower.

I bought this about a month ago to replace the old one we had which was a different brand. I have to say that I am more than pleased with this softner! It was easy to install and my water is so soft now. Great product!

Moved to our cottage last year and upgraded our old water softener, the Whirlpool system was easy to install and does a superior job. Only down side is that the 1 inch thread to 3/4 inch sweat fittings are not included.

I purchased this 16 days ago, so far so good easy to install and operate.

This unit works fabulously on extremely hard water. My previous unit died on us, and I wasn't in a huge hurry to get a replacement. Within a week my dishes were cloudy and felt nasty, and my shower doors were coated with a white film. I installed this unit and within a week everything is sparkling clean again.

Purchased this softener to replace a 20+ year old Whirlpool unit. Installation was relatively straightforward. Water quality is noticeably better and I’ve noticed this unit uses a lot less salt.

Seems to be working well. Looks good and easy to set up. I like the one unit setup.

Bought a month ago, working good. Use less salt than my 15 year old softener.

Water is soft again! New unit is doing a great job.

I bought this item in May 2022, installed it in Sept 2022, and it leaked resin into my home water lines 4 months later:( However, I called Whirlpool and they have promised to send me a new softener and the process has been hassle-free. I will write another review after I install the replacement and allow it to work it's magic.

The draining systems fills the tank with water now and then. Maybe a different type of cleaner or filters for the draining system would work much better.

Been in use for 2 weeks and so far it is doing good
