Retired cabinet maker/installer here. This is the first time that I put down a laminate counter top in 20 years. Back in the day, contact cement dried in minutes, and you needed good ventilation or a respirator if you didn't want to get high. This product doesn't have VOCs, but takes over a half hour to dry. But the bond seems equal to the older products.

Easy to use and worked great with plywood as the substrate.

I was a cabinet maker for 25 years. I've built hundreds of counter tops using plastic laminates and adhesives from several manufacturers. Built my first counter top in 35 years using this contact adhesive and it performed exactly how it should. Good adhesion and easy clean up. Would use again and recommend to others.

Takes too long to dry

Used to reveneer an end table. Works very well with a good strong bond. Applied as directed to both surfaces. Waited 20 minutes until the adhesive on both surfaces turned from a milky color to clear. I give this product 5 stars.

Like how it goes on white and when it turns clear it is ready also the smell is not strong where you have to leave the house.

Home Depot has a good price on this stuff and it’s unbeatable. I won’t use anything else!

Used this product to re-Tolex a Marshall 4x12 guitar speaker cabinet. Came out perfect! Much cheaper than dedicated Tolex glue.

for not being solvent based contact cement this worked really well. It didnt stink like traditional contact cement does. I liked the fact that it didnt have a lot of VOC as this project was in the winter and I couldnt open the windows to get the smell of a traditional solvent based glue out (there wasnt much of a smell with this glue) I had a small project approx 10sf and I have plenty left over. I'd use/buy it again.

Much better spreading than competing products. Milky white application makes it easy to fully cover product. Easy to identify clear finish when ready to bond. Bonded well and cleanly. I used this for multiple workbenches in my garage

First the disclaimer: Home Depot does not check the date on these before they ship them. The last one I received (after a long wait) was a few weeks from expiring. They offered to replace it, but why would I think the next one would be in date? This has a year shelf life and not worth all of the labor if it isn't as the manufacturer recommends. Did you ever have to scrape bad adhesive from a project? Trust me... hours of work. So get this from a TRUSTED source. Someone who cares if they send you the product you paid for. I am done with Home Depot. What little they offer in convenience isn't worth their terrible customer support and disregard of their customers experience. Now the product: For all of you that do recovering work and use this product, you already know how well it works. I strongly recommend this product for amplifier tolex work. It is easy enough to use and will stick for a lifetime. A+
