This is the second order from this mfg. Everything arrived well packed and in good shape. Even though they are primed, I recommend running it over with a fine sandpaper just to get out any imperfections...it's primed, but not perfect. Measurements were exactly as described.

Out of 18 several had rough edges where they should have been smooth. They were primed, but husband had to sand them because the edges were rough.

The product cuts nicely which makes it fit precisely. The prime is so nice and if you are careful with the installation, you may not have to paint it at all, just fill in the nail holes. It seems prone to brush strokes but a foam brush takes cake of this. I used a semi-gloss and I did use a regular brush. I am happy with this product and would buy it again.

Worked well for filling in space to cover an older door opening.

I thought I was getting clear fir trim stock. Didn't know that MDF meant "medium density fiberboard," but it worked out OK.

Great look for window trim

I used these moldings as baseboards throughout our house and it looks fabulous. I had them shipped to our home, and they arrived in good condition.

Preprimed, very easy to cut and finish as needed. Paints nicely. No problems with delivery as it was packaged very well. Will purchase more of this same brand but other sizes.

The primer does not keep water out of the MDF. When you paint it using a roller or brush the material absorbs the water in the paint and expands. The quickly dried paint leaves brush marks and the expansion leaves a rough finish. Using paint conditioner does not help--the finish is still rough. Unlike wood grain, which only rises once, MDF seems to have an unlimited capacity for swelling. The time involved in getting a smooth finish makes this product more expensive than casing with a painted finish, which you can paint the color you want without the problems.
