According to description the plant should be fine in spring...
According to description the plant should be fine in spring season and only need protection in winter in my zone, but my plat did not survive the spring weather. Because I lost my plant, I cannot make any fair comment about it.

The plant arrived nicely packaged and in good shape when removed from its box. I replanted it into a pot and A few days later the leaves started to turn yellow and fall off , Probably due to shock from shipping, but has sense Recovered nicely and now has many buds on it and I’m looking forward to smelling the gardenias when they bloom shortly.

The plant in the first photo is not the same plant. Coming from someone who doesn’t really know about Gardenia plants it was very misleading and I chose the plant based on that photo. The plant did arrive in really good packaging and looked nice and green which is why I’m leaving 3 stars. Ended up returning to store and purchased the correct plant elsewhere.

Considering the boxed plant was on a truck for about four days, I am surprised it was even still alive . It was half dead and lost over half its leaves. One of the bigger branches was snapped and I had to remove it.

DID NOT SURVIVE A MILD WINTER
Plant arrived in good condition, and was healthy through summer and early fall. Once cold weather started, it declined and eventually died, and I planted it in a fairly protected location. I live in a zone 7, and we had a very mild winter; the coldest it got was 25 degrees one night; a few other cold nights in the high 20's and low 30's. Disappointed it died.
