How do I know if the tool I want is available?
Stop by the Rental Center at your nearest Home Depot to see which tools you can rent. You can also call first to confirm a tool's availability, or visit our tool rental page to see if it's offered at your favorite store. If it's not, check another nearby store or reach out to our Rental Center associates to learn where that tool may be available. Can I rent a tool for an hour?
You can rent a tool for four hours or more. It depends on how long you'd like to rent them. Small home improvement projects may only require a rental for a few hours, and major projects can also be accomodated. You've got options to rent tools by the week, day, or month, too. If you need it longer than your initial rental period, call the Rental Center for an extension and avoid late fees.
When do I return the tools?
You can return the tools early if you finish your project sooner than predicted, but on-time works, too. As long as you return it by the deadline you were given when you rented it, you'll be good to go. Please clean off residual dust, mud, and grime from the tool as well. If you need the tools longer, call your rental center to see if you can extend your rental period.
Do saw blades come with circular saw rentals?
Yes, power saw rentals typically come with blades, but we recommend that you get your own. You'll likely not get a sharp blade when you rent, as most people won't leave one on there when they return it. However, you may luck out and receive an excellent blade on the saw. As there's no guarantee, buy a suitable blade, just in case.
