What should I bring when moving into my college dorm?
We've got your college dorm essentials. Use storage containers or moving boxes to transport your belongings, and be ready for residual dirt with cleaning wipes and other cleaning products. Bring a tub of spackling to fill old nail holes and Command adhesive hooks to hang wall art and string lights. Make the room your own with area rugs and wall decals. Extension cords and power strips let you place lamps, microwaves, and mini fridges where you need them. If you didn't get a new bookbag yet, we've got those, too. Be prepared to head to college with useful products from your local Home Depot.
How can I prep my home for scorching summer temps?
Make certain your home is set for summer temps by repairing or replacing faulty components of your hardscaping and home. If moisture gets in the cracks, you could be dealing with mold. Check cinder blocks and bricks for cracks, and ensure indoor ceiling tiles are free from water damage and missing pieces. On your home's exterior, inspect metal roofs or roof shingles for damage or rust that may let water leak in. Keep gutters clear of debris to keep rain overflow from backing up into your home when storms arrive. Lastly, vinyl siding and chimney caps should be swapped out if they're in poor condition.
Do you offer moving boxes?
Make moving or storage easier by picking up a variety of moving boxes. We've got the sizes you've been searching for, including specialty ones like wardrobe and TV boxes. Cushion any and all items with bubble cushion and moving blankets to ensure your belongings make it to your next location safely. Don't forget to check out our rental moving trucks if you need those, too.
Should I get an inverter generator or a portable generator?
Enjoy power in your home even after severe storms and wind take it out. We've got the options you need when searching for a generator for sale. Inverter generators are quieter and cleaner than traditional portable generators. They adjust to whatever power load is requested. This means they'll make less noise while they create less power. When shopping for generators, keep in mind that portable generators are more affordable and generate more electricity than inverter generators, but they're heavier and louder. Always run your generators outdoors, away from windows and doors, for safety purposes.
Do you have doorbell cameras?
Enjoy privacy, peace of mind, and safety with a wired or wireless doorbell camera. Stop peeking through a peephole when you can see animal or human visitors in real time. Some doorbell cameras even let you chat remotely via your phone, a useful interaction for delivery people or to scare off would-be porch pirates. Most cameras integrate with your smart home app or hub to give you flexible and easy accessibility. Save video clips for future reference as it suits you.
