WATERTOWN STORE HANDLED A RETURN AND I BOUGHT A NEW PRODUCT
The cashier, a lady and a gentleman acted to gether to return a defective product-to understand hwy and what needed to be reported, and gave the confidence to buy another product- not on sale-expensive, but actually helpful to my project needs.

Customer service was atrocious
I had bought two separate items, one for which I got a discount, and another which was for the full price. Since I did not need two of the same, I decided to return the more expensive item. The cashier had a different idea. The cashier said that she could only see the cheaper item and therefore proceeded to refund me for the cheaper item, cheating me of the discounted price. When I tried to explain to the cashier, she gaslighted me and told me that the full price had been reduced, so I was entitled to the reduced price only. To reiterate, I was returning the more expensive of the two identical problems. The customer service representative was either completely unable to understand a simple transaction, or they were looking to save the store money.

Somewhat a little fast
The workers as usual look miserable in the morning like you don’t greet nobody you don’t even thank people and they act like they’re doing us a favor treat us like animals sometimes but it’s upsetting to deal with that every morning like if you don’t like your job just quit I’m sure they are people that are happy that will more likely to help people with their services and needs

I haven't in the past been very fortunate to receive such great service.I would like to make it clear that it was in the evening.I normally shop at this location during the day, and the staff are horrible, lazy, and not helpful at all. Employees like Cavan and Gregg should be praised for their work.ethics.

understaffed, unknown item.
Item from shelves wouldn't ring up at self-checkout; attendant "didn't have time" to sort out problem and rang up something else more expensive. Should have more people available to help. Also need more self-checkouts; parking lot was mostly empty but there was a line for checkout.

Great service!
Just want to make sure you all recognize Erick the ProDesk cashier at store # 2602!!
He was amazingly patient and helpful in finding the best solution for my fence repair!!
He made me feel as though I was his only customer and activated about me!!!
Please recognize him for a job well done and creating customer loyalty to HD!!

Bad store. Don't go there
Extremely disappointed experience at Home Depot Watertown. The employe at Aisle 22 is very rude and don't know how to treat clients with respect. Long lines a customer service. Never going back there.

Solid 2-3 stars - average is not bad these days
Compared to Waltham, West Roxbury and one of the two Quincy locations, this store is at the bottom when it comes to the average aptitude of the staff. It’s actually amazing that it seems like this particular location is not great at attracting talent compared to these other three stores. However, it’s not a big deal as long as you know how to handle it. For example, there’s one guy at the customer service who is so slow in processing anything and shows so little thought that I simply let someone behind me go first so I skip him or I leave and try another day. It’s not his fault- it’s the manager who decided this guy could work the customer service desk. He has been there for about 4-6 months, wears a hat and takes about 5 min to process something g which takes an average person about 20 seconds. This is the most extreme case though but I don’t have non-sense like this at the other stores. Still, it’s no big deal since this is no library

Bad Store
Unfriendly cashiers at the returns desk!
Often there are no bags at the Self Check Out.
Many items out of stock or not found in the correct spot.
Employees do not engage with the customers.

Barbara the Checkout Master
Barbara is nothing short of a gem. She could lead the company in best-practice for customer service and relationships. She 1) makes eye contact 2) does not treat you like a nuisance 3) has the situational awareness to stop chatting with a coworker and promptly attend to the customer 4) is willing to help 5) knows the store and the products 6) is just plain pleasant.
The management of the store must take note of her exceptional behaviors and results. I passed by 8 employees including one "Coach" who either avoided eye contact or deferred helping me to "someone up front." The store is chaos, the employees (except Barbara and the Tool Rental Team,) are there to take up space and give out only CO2 and glares, and the prices are significantly worse than represented on the website.
5 Stars for Barbara. The rest of y'all might want to revisit what it means to provide customer service.

Knowledgeable Staff
This store is great. The staff know a lot about valve caps and still have a live human being to help with checkout if you don't want to be bothered with self-checkout!!

Nice store, rude clerk.
person at self checkout was rude, when I asked about military discount. I don't have the military code on my phone but I had the physical card with me. She told me it had to be done with my phone, I said another home depot was able to key it in without the use of my phone. She then told me "you do it then, show me" I told her I couldn't because I don't work here so I wouldn't know how, but that I remember a home depot Employee finding the discount button off a drop down menu.. She ended up giving me a discount and I thanked her..but she got upset, and repeatedly said I'm getting her in trouble. I didn't know it was mandatory to have it on the phone since a different Home Depot has always done it manually (by pressing the military discount button off a drop down menu). If it's something that shouldn't be done, why is there an option to give Military Discount, Customer Discount, Employee Discount, etc on the drop down menu...is it a different store, different policy type of situation? Anyway, I probably won't come here again unless I really have to. Other than that everything else was nice.

Nice, serviceable store that can get very busy and crowded
I buy regularly at this store because it is very close to my office in Watertown. I typically find what I need. The feature of the Home Depot website that allows to find the specific location in the store is sometimes useful for odd items. The only issue that I have had, and this is only in 2022, is with tool rental, either missing or defective tools.

Great Management Team
I have been utilizing this store for a very long time as a contractor and homeowner. It usually has everything in stock and if not, pro-desk or CS is always willing to locate it at another store or have it brought to this location. Highly recommended as each department is managed and stocked professionally.

Rude, Rude, Rude and incompetent.
The worst customer experience ever. Long story short, I ordered two windows, one came in broken. When the replacement finally came in there was a mix up and extra parts had been ordered. After much ado, I was told to pay for the extra parts in order for it to be closed out in the system and I would be refunded that money right away. They could not refund my money. Steve< who was called after about 40 minutes of trying to figure this out was unbelievably rude, shouting at me, refusing to give me his full name or the name of the GM of the store. It took another trip to the store and 5 days before my money was returned.
Mistakes happen, that is life. How someone handles the mistakes made, makes all the difference in the world. Additionally I received texts twice more to pick up my order! It took two phone calls and about and hour of my time to straighten that out. I'll never shop there again.

Passive aggressive customer service staff make for sour experience
Homedepot is a staple of any DIY project. Staff, specifically the customer service folks have had a long pandemic and seem to be sick of dealing with people.
Being passive aggressive, is never acceptable. Example #1; not making eye contact with customer when being spoken to, then pretending not to hear the conversation/question, then asking the customer to repeat question multiple times.
Example #2; Pretending to listen to a customer question, then responding with an intentionally irrelevant answer, then repeating that same irrelevant answer as a response to the customer telling you that the answer you just gave is irrelevant. Bonus points for repeating the same irrelevant answer a 3rd time, because the customer "interrupted you" to tell you that this same answer is irrelevant.

Manager Stevie is rude and disrespectful
The manager, Stevie, was awful to deal with. An item I was purchasing was advertised in the store for one price but rang up quite a bit higher at the register. Stevie came over to assist, I showed him where it was advertised as the lower price (one of the end caps), and he said he’d adjust the price at the register. When we got to the register, he then refused to update the price and became very demeaning.
