Rude behavior from the staff.
I came to make a return, but since I lost the receipt, they did not accept it. That’s okay — rules are rules. But the way the customer service employee named Mayva (if I wrote it down correctly) behaved toward me is beyond any explanation. Not only was she rude, impolite, and chewing gum during the entire conversation, but when I asked to speak with the store manager, she lied and said that she was the manager, and even laughed at me. This was an extremely unpleasant and unacceptable experience with the staff. However, all my previous visits to other stores were great, and the staff there was always helpful and polite.

    Terrible customer service
    Customer service was miserable. I spent 10 min looking for a product that was in the wrong place and priced incorrectly. Then spent another 15 min proving it was in the wrong location by taking a photo. I should’ve walked out when the bell lit up for “customer needs help”. Delva was directed by her manager to adjust the price to match what was on the floor and she refused. Peter seems to have no control of the team.

        Customer service is not trained well
        I bought a car battery, and there was a core charge of $12. I asked customer service what the process was to get the core charge refunded, and they acted like they had never heard of this before and gave me wrong information. Employees need to be trained better. The core charge is refundable within 30 days, but nobody knew that. They told me it was not refundable.

          Whenever I have need of wood or vinyl stock, I go to Watertown Home Depot. Sometimes I am even able to know the location within the store of the items I need

            Very easy to get answers
            I tried to get a mailbox locker replacement at the other stores, only water Home Depot’s folks helped me to pick the right model of lockers.

              The paint department folks are awesome!
              I needed to do some touch up work on 2 separate walls. The gentleman who runs the paint shop helped me match the colors and even wrote a personal note which paint goes with what sample. Such a small gesture, such a huge difference! I already painted one of the walls and it looks exactly as the original color. Many thanks!

                  Great feature for the price
                  I was rather quite happy with the items I purchased on 8/9/25. I have to mention in passing that with the assistance of Mr. Kelly Alfousseiny who was quite instrumental in finding the best deal for me. He is professional and customers driven. He certaainly renewed my loyalty to Home Depot.

                    Watertown Home Depot -awful experience.
                    Our whole experience at the Watertown Home Depot was very disappointing and unpleasant. We waited over 30 minutes for someone to help cut wood for us and despite the cashier calling four times on the intercom, no one came. The cashier was apologetic, but helpless and said the only way we might be able to get a response was to contact the management. There did not seem to be any management presence in the store. There were plenty of people with Home Depot smocks on who were chatting with each other but when asked we’re unable to help us. After leaving the lumber department unsuccessfully, we headed to the garden area to get 10 bags of potting soil. We asked the woman who was outside to help us. She said she could not help us because she did not have any sunscreen on and she then went inside the store. We brought in a bag of the potting soil and asked if she could ring up 10 bags so that we could load our car. Even though we were inside and she had a price gun with her, she again reported that she had no sunscreen and could not help us. She told us we needed to put 10 bags on a cart and get in the line which had now grown and was long . We ended up leaving the store without wood and now without our soil. The whole experience was incredibly frustrating. Although I’ve been a long time Home Depot customer I will no longer be shopping at your store.

                        Pay Attention for possible Overcharge
                        I just bought a Washing Machine and must wait for 3 full weeks for Delivery. I live in the same town that this particular Home Depot in Water, MA is located!

                          Help while holding a baby
                          I was wearing my 6 month old in a baby carrier while I was shopping for a 6ft ladder and when I went to use the self checkout lane a very nice man greeted us and carried the ladder for me through the checkout and all the way into my car. As a large man I’m not used to people offering me help but he was so friendly and professional. My baby and I really appreciated it!

                                  Great Friendly Employees; Easy to Shop
                                  Large store with in stock inventory on Items I needed. Staff is helpful. Had to get a window replacement and the lady, Daryl, was incredibly helpful. She went above and beyond. Also had to grab a few other items and the other staff were helpful in finding me the right items. Will come back - my favorite Boston area Home Depot store so far.

                                            Bought wall oven in early March
                                            The logistics organizing delivery, removal of old wall oven and installation of new one, was an INEFFICIENT NIGHTMARE. Was told delivery Thursday, so notified installer of that fact. (Selection process long and cumbersome). Then notified last night (Tuesday) it would. be Wednesday with 4 hour window between 8 and 12. Delivery Company, Temco, called/texted around 7am to say delivery 10-20 minutes away. Prepared for them. Upon arrival, they said they were not qualified to remove the wall oven tho Home Depot had said they could (and I had paid $40 for removal). They said they could and would collect it after I had had it removed. And I should call HD and set that up. (which I will try to do and hope not too many bureauctratic glitches) VERY UNSATISFIED CUSTOMER Joanna Breyer

                                              I had to ask 7 employees where to find a simple item. Their various directions routed me all over the store. What a work out! At last, #8 took me directly to it. Thank you! And the lady at the cash register was very nice.

                                                            Cannot thank Sam and Mahmoud enough from Appliances !!
                                                            I normally do not write reviews on company websites but the encounter I had at the Watertown location is worth writing one. I initially spoke with customer service via phone about my defected stove who caused me nothing but even more stress than I already had. Sad to say, the supervisor Sofie (id 38306) was no help and kept brushing me off stating there was nothing she could do (it’s a lie - especially as a supervisor they do have a say). They were no help. I went to my local HD to see if they could assist me and boy did I get the assistance I needed. Sam and Mahmoud from appliances helped me especially with all the stress they saw me in. When I told Sam about my issue, the first thing he said was, “don’t worry I will fix this for you”. He brought in Mahmoud and both of them tried helping me with getting a new stove. They tried their very best to resolve my issue- I never felt so important and relieved during a stressful situation. I cannot thank Sam and Mahmoud enough for helping me purchasing a new stove. If you need to get a new appliance or have any issues with the one you recently received - go directly to Sam not customer service. He will take care of you like no tomorrow and get you the best appliance you are in need.
