At Home Depot, community involvement is important to us. We support Love Your Block aka Boston Shines, the Yawkey Boys & Girls Club of Roxbury and One Boston Day. In-store, we cover a wide variety of topics in our DIY workshops, where the focus is hands-on learning and providing you with expert advice.

Has COVID-19 impacted The Home Depot store hours?
We're temporarily adjusting store hours to better serve customers and communities in response to COVID-19. Please check your local store for the most current operating hours.

What additional precautions is The Home Depot taking in light of COVID-19?
The adjusted hours give stores the ability to staff appropriately and provide additional time to restock shelves and perform cleaning. As part of our normal practice, our stores and other facilities are cleaned and sanitized daily. Following guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), we've increased the frequency of cleaning and general hygiene maintenance in stores and other locations. We've also stepped up our efforts to disinfect high-traffic and high-touch areas like self-checkout, door handles, and bathrooms, as well as posting signage about handwashing and other preventative actions.
We're promoting social distancing in our stores and distribution centers, which includes stores limiting the number of customers inside at any given time. In addition to training our associates on social distancing, we've placed distancing markers at some of our checkout counters and are making overhead announcements on our store PA systems asking customers to practice social distancing.

Many employees are rude and don't know much about projects and cannot assist when ask basic questions as far as certain items needed causing customers to bounce in different departments looking for one item and speaking to 3+ employees till its found. Very frustrating.

Return associate Alicia is rude, grumpy and lacked training. Doesn't understand the need to reduce exposure during this pandemic, and instead actively increasing risks for customers. Not wearing face mask, refusing to scan ID without holding it first, and generally indifferent about spreading germs. Also had an attitude problem, probably because it was half an hour to closing and she was too incompetent to do her job quickly, so the lines were still long.

It took 7 weeks from the time of a storm door purchase till the day it was installed. My money for the cost of labor to install was readily accepted and then all communication stopped. The main number to the store was rarely answered and the only saving grace in this entire experience was Matt at the Mill Desk who would attempt to update me as best he could whenever I went in to find answers in person. He did in the end, make things right for me and now that I have a beautiful Andersen door to my back entrance which had a non-functioning door for almost 2 months, I am happy the ordeal is over.
