    Q:I read that the LED is supposed to last 40 years --- is that 40 years per setting (for example if I have it on the soft setting and it burns out, can you switch to another setting to still have some light (are the LED's independent for each setting) ?

    A:  Thank you for your question. While the LEDs are independent, they share the driver. The current flows through the driver and that is the part that powers the LED chips.

If the light ever goes out, a replacement can be easily ordered by calling Home Decorators Collection customer service at 1-800-986-3460. The light module is not expensive.
