A: Online the Blue-Kote screws are designed for outdoor use.
A: Thanks for the question. The Kreg Blue-Kote Screws in the package can be used outdoors, however the rest of the screws in the kit are designed for indoor use only.
A: Yes the ones that are blue and the ones made with zinc
A: The screw kit did not come with a square drive bit. You can purchase them seperately, and one does come with the basic Kreg kit.
A: Nope just the screws, specifically designed for pocket holes. They take a square drive bit.
A: Mine did not come with a square drive bit. I use the one that came with the Kreg pocket screw jig (also sold by Home Depot).
A: Thanks for the question. The Kreg Pocket-Hole Screw Kit will not include a driver in the package.

A: To be quite honest I haven’t tried to use my military or veteran discount online orders
A: I tried to order something on-line through my local store and was told no military discount available when using on-line, even if they place the order for me. I guess their idea of military discount is applied at their discretion.
A: No, but if you bring your receipt/order confirmation to a HomeDepot store, they will make the adjustment.
A: My discount was applied automatically. I noticed when I checked out on line. Have only got the 5% at store with my blue card
A: ?
A: Yes, You can purchase extra drill bits for Kreg from you local Home Depot or through them online. I hoped this helped you in answering your question.
A: Home Depot and other "big box" stores keep Kreg bits in stock... and you can also find them at the various online sources. The most versatile ones (IMO) are the ones with the hex shank - they'll work in a regular drill chuck or a hex driver.
A: Hi Rue, we do offer some Kreg Drill Bit options on Homedepot.com that may suit your needs. Please review the products at the link I have provided below to see if any will work for your project. https://www.homedepot.com/b/Tools-Power-Tool-Accessories-Drill-Bits/Kreg/N-5yc1vZc248Z3bm/Ntk-semanticsearch/Ntt-drill%2Bbits?NCNI-5 Thanks for shopping Home Depot!
A: You can order online or available in stores that sell Kreg products.
A: Our local store has them in stock. They are also available online.
A: The blue ones are for exterior use. The others are not stainless steel.
A: Old question but deserves an accurate answer. There are NO stainless steel screws in this kit. The blue-coated 2.5" screws are weather-resistant and Kreg claims good for exterior use. ALL the rest are for interior use only. BTW - the other answer claiming there is some kind of "reaction" between stainless steel and wood is completely incorrect. Good quality stainless steel is non-reactive and if you can find stainless steel pocket screws (which Kreg does not make/market to my knowledge) - those would be the more reliable for use in treated lumber or other exterior uses. Modern treated lumber is extremely corrosive to fasteners, so I'd question even the Kreg "blue screws" in that application. I'm sure someone, somewhere makes stainless steel pocket screws - just not Kreg.
A: While stainless steel screws are mostly weather proof they are not impervious to weather. It depends on what you are using them for. Between the weather and the type of wood you are using you can get a chemical reaction or staining of the wood. If you want a truly outdoor screw then I would suggest using ones that specifically state "for outdoor use". These screws are coated so as not to react or rust when used outside.
A: All but the Blue-Kote are zinc coated, and thus for indoor use only. The Blue-Kotes, which are terrific, are weather-proof, although not stainless steel.
A: The blue ones are the best going for weather resistant. If you are planning on using these for outdoor applications, I don't think you can beat them.
How can we help?
