    A:  Halo Touch will support both Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant for voice control. The fingerprint door lock has Wi-Fi capability so that it can connect directly to a Wi-FI network via the Kwikset app without needing a smart hub/home automation system.

        Q:When trying to use the keypad to unlock only two numbers are lighting up so we have been unable to key in all of the code. Is there a setting to get all the numbers on the keypad to light up when trying to unlock?

        A:  SecureScreen is an added security feature that displays random digits before you enter a user code to unlock the door. This feature ensures that there are fingerprints on all digits so that codes cannot be identified by examining the touchscreen for fingerprints. This feature can be disabled by toggling it off in the lock settings screen of the Kwikset App.

          A:  Wi-Fi is required to program an Access Code. Download the Kwikset app on your smartphone, create an app account, and follow the steps to pair the lock. To pair your Halo lock via the Kwikset app, please ensure your Wi-Fi network connection is 2.4GHz with WPA2 security, is not hidden, nor has firewalls up during the paring process. Router needs to be within lock range (150ft).

            A:  SmartKey Security re-key technology is compatible with a 5 pin (K1 and K5) and 6 pin (K10) keyways. To use an SC1 key with the SmartCodde 270, you would need to replace the cylinder with SC1 cylinder model # 85174. Please contact Home Depot's special order counter for details on how to order this part.
