    Q:Does this have a 3 or 4 prong plug?
    by|Aug 17, 2022

    Answer This Question

A:  Electric Dryers do not come with power cords. Power cords are sold separately from dryers and ranges because the electrical codes and outlets for these specific appliances vary to a high degree. There is no standard like there is for washers and refrigerators. An electric dryer can use a 3-prong or 4-prong cord, while a gas dryer uses a 120-volt cord. Almost all manufacturers sell dryers without a cord attached, allowing you to select a 3-prong vs. 4-prong dryer cord to match your outlet. The LG 9.0 cu. ft. Large Smart wi-fi Enabled Electric Dryer w/ TurboSteam™, Model # DLEX9000V has its own terminal block that must be connected to a separate 240 VAC, 60-Hertz, single-phase circuit, fused at 30 amperes (the circuit must be fused on both sides of the line). The power cord (pigtail) connection between the wall receptacle and the dryer terminal block IS NOT supplied with the dryer. The type of pigtail and gauge of wire must conform to your local codes. Grounding through the neutral conductor is prohibited for: (1) new branch-circuit installations, (2) mobile homes, (3) recreational vehicles, and 94) areas where local codes prohibit grounding through the neutral conductor. A 4-wire connection is required for all mobile and manufactured home installations, as well as all new construction after January 1, 1996. You will need to use a 30 A, UL-Listed power cord with #10 AWG-minimum copper conductor and closed loop or forked terminals with upturned ends. A 3-wire connection is NOT permitted on new construction after January 1, 1996. A UL-Listed 30 A, 3-wire, #10 AWG-minimum copper conductor through a strain relief is required...^Ivan A 4-wire connection

Q:do waterlines and venting lines need to be raised for these units as they are essentially on raised Plinths?
        by|May 6, 2021
        1 Answer
        Answer This Question

A:  There is no need to raise your waterlines and venting. The LG 9.0 cu. ft. Large Smart wi-fi Enabled Electric Dryer w/ TurboSteam™, Model # DLEX9000V has a water inlet valve that is about 5" from the bottom of the dryer, but when placed on its matching 29" LG Laundry Pedestal which has a height of 13 9/10", the water inlet valve on the dryer will be raised up to about 17" off the ground. The center of the vent duct on the dryer is 3 1/8" from the bottom of the dryer so again, when the laundry pedestal is installed under the dryer, the center of the vent duct will be about 16" from the floor. The ENERGY STAR® Qualified LG 5.2 cu. ft. Large Smart wi-fi Enabled Front Load Washer TurboWash®, Model # WM9000HVA has a height of 41 1/4" and if you look at the water inlet valves for the washer are located just below the lid on the back of the washer (i.e. about 2") and when you install the LG 1.0 cu. ft. LG SideKick™ Pedestal Washer, LG TWINWash™ Compatible, Model # WD200CV under the washer which has a height of 14 1/8", the water inlet valves for the washer will be about 54" (53 3/8") above the floor. You also have flexibility with the water inlet hoses and the ducting for the dryer vent that the placement of your water supply line and exhaust duct are not going to be an issue...^IFV

Q:Does the dryer reverse directions while drying? My current dryer only spins in one direction (blankets and sheets turn into a big lump).

A:  Hi Red Fred. The drum for the LG 9.0 cu. ft. Large Smart Front Load Electric Dryer w/ TurboSteam, Pedestal Compatible & Wi-Fi Enabled in Graphite Steel, Model # DLEX9000V does not reverse directions while drying. If your sheets and blankets are getting tangled, twisted or knotted, that is an indication that you have too many items loaded in the dryer so you will need to reduce the amount of items you load in the dryer. When the items do not have enough room to unfold and tumble freely, they will get tangled, twisted or knotted. Items on the outside gett pressed up against the walls of the tub which slows them down as the dryer spins while items in the middle spind at a faster spped which causes them to tewist and knot up into one big ball...^IFV
