A: That depends on the PSI (water pressure) you have. This will work from 15 to 65 psi. It also depends on the pattern you choose. There is a detailed pressure vs. flow chart on the Orbit website for this product. I have attached a picture of the chart. I hope this helps!
A: GPM is a measurement that is solely dependent upon your own supply line pressure.
A: 15 gallons
A: Absolutely. The strip of yard on each side of my house is 7 ft wide and 60 feet long. I have two of these sprinklers, and they work perfectly for that - much better than the impact sprinklers they replaced. There are two green arc control rings near the base of the body. They can be adjusted to produce up to a 360 degree arc, and down to about 5 degrees.
A: Sounds somewhat like my yard. Yes it will spray in a tight arc, length wise, but it will miss the area close to the sprinkler. You may have to move it to the other end to water everything fully.
A: Mostly yes. I have a section that is 25 feet long but 5 ft wide & it sprays the full length but oversprays a little on the width, even on the smallest width setting.
A: About 12 feet for efficiency is the distance I use and very easy to adjust from 0 to 360
A: Yes. You can set pattern up to 360 degree circle and select small, med or large distance and have options to watering pattern.
A: Yes, It has 5-7 different types of spray setting. You would need two for a 35’ long area.
A: It oscillates, so it will be wider on one end than the other. So, you will have overspray on one end.
A: It can be adjusted for the 7 feet but will not reach 35 feet. You would need two sprinklers.
A: It comes with a plastic cap on the extra fitting to seal it off. You can remove that cap and add an extra hose and add a second sprinkler to piggy-back to this one.
A: No. Just remove the extra cap and attach the second hose.
A: No, you don't need any extra fittings. They're made with a flow-thru design. The black plastic cap shown in the item photo covers a male outlet to connect another hose and sprinkler.
A: No. Fits the Male and Female sides of the hose.
A: No, it all comes as is ready for another hose to be attached or to be capped off if its the last sprinkler on the line. When you purchase the item make sure they have gaskets on either side and a cap on the extension side.
A: No, you'd just unscrew the black cap they have on the other side.
A: No. Just remove the cap on the other side and you will have threads to attach another hose.
A: abou7 65 foot diameter
A: Yes product specs: Adjustable Yes Base Material Plastic Commercial / Residential Residential Decorative No Maximum Pressure (PSI) 80 Maximum Spray Distance (ft.) 40
A: Really depends on which option you choose. Average is about what the package states.
A: my experience is 25 to 30 feet. it also depends on your water pressure.
A: Under the maximum pressure of 80 psi, the manufacturer states the maximum distance is 40 feet. My experience with two of these sprinklers tells me this is an accurate statement.
A: The item description says 40 feet. I've found that 35 feet is about the max I can reach, and I have very good water pressure here.
A: I use it with a 5/8" hose and the last time I checked my water pressure was 56+- and I was able to water a 25' radius with the right settings. I don't think you can get more than 30' and it still be uniform with this sprinkler.
A: Dependent on your water pressure to each head, about 80 feet. I have very low pressure and flow to my home and I get about 50 feet.
A: Yes its right in the product specs: Adjustable Yes Base Material Plastic Commercial / Residential Residential Decorative No Maximum Pressure (PSI) 80 Maximum Spray Distance (ft.) 40
A: YES!

A: Not exactly. But with it having 8 different settings, each one "throws" the water differently and thus reduces or increases the range based on the setting. I was skeptical at first but with so many settings and great build quality, I definitely recommend it.
A: Yes, there are three (3) distance settings.
A: Yes. You can reduce the spray distance by moving the down pointing tabs in front of the nozzle (see circled pic.) The tabs partially obstruct the water spray and the longer the tab chosen, the more the spray is pushed down. This reduces the distance the water goes. Also, experiment with the various spray settings (e.g. long, medium, small, verticle, etc.)
A: I have tried to do this and it seems that the different settings are the only option other than reducing the water pressure.
A: You can rotate the green cap on top. There are 3 notches per spray pattern. I find that they do a mediocre job. The notches turn the stream into a mist and you end up losing water through the air.
A: Somewhat. There is a distance control ring. But, it's really just an array of four different length spray diffuser "teeth", plus a setting for no diffusion at all. It's fairly effective at controlling the distance of the throw, as long as you don't need to be too precise. That ring requires some fiddling, because the diffuser "teeth" need to be positioned exactly in the center of the water outlet hole. It has position detents, but they don't seem to lock in quite correctly aligned. That's easily managed, though.
A: Yes. Turn the top part to adjust coverage.
A: John - Please see the attached picture. The metal, spiked base can be unscrewed from the sprinkler head. There is then a threaded male end on the sprinkler head. That threaded head is a smaller diameter than your typical female hose coupling. I have never used a tripod, so I do not know how sprinkler heads attach as far as diameters. etc. I hope this helps.
A: I am not an expert, but no. It is too integral a part of this sprinkler to be removed with our damage.
A: Yes, if the threads are the same size.
A: It probably scews off.
A: No, the unit is a single piece.
A: The top pastic head unscrews from the metal stake.
A: Yes, it can.
A: I'll add to my previous answer. It can, as long as your tripod has a compatible male fitting on top to screw into the sprinkler base, and a female inlet for connecting your hose.
A: You might have cam endpoints mixed up. The white triangle indicates spray direction. The bottom cam is for left rotation endpoint, the upper for right rotation endpoint.. It’s possible you only have a couple of degrees before each endoint is reached. Move them around and see what rotation you get. You have to tweak each time you hook up a hose. If nothing works it’s possible you could have a bad unit. Take it back and get another. These are the best stand-alone sprayers I’ve found. If you get two or three they work well ganged together. Best wishes!
A: Jane there are two bands with nobs on them. These bands must line up to indicate the area you want to water. If you want to make a circle, then both nobs on the bands must meet. One on top of the other, so that the sprinkler would make a complete circle. If you want a half circle, then the nobs on the bands must be opposite of each other. Now if you want a large, or small circle look to the top to make the adjustment. The size of your circle must match up with the arrow. Hope this helps.
A: There are two small tabs under the sprinkler head will set the limits of the sweep. If setting these limits does not work then the item is broken.
A: Without knowing exactly what yours is doing, I'm afraid I don't have an answer for you. Have you tried adjusting the arc limiter rings near the base of the body? I've had two of these for about a month, and they work perfectly.
A: Have you adjusted the tabs on the green discs correctly? If they are exactly aligned, it will make a complete circle.
A: It took me a while to figure out how to work the green tangs on the lower part of the sprinkler. Once I did, it swept just fine.
A: If you set the rings on the bottom that have little tabs on them so the nozzle you are using is between them, it will sweep between the two tabs or (pegs)
A: You don't really lift, but more of a turn. There are three little pieces/notches on that top piece of green plastic there are multiple sets of three that will make it more of a flat/divided stream of water the longer makes the distance shorter because it obstructs the flow the most, medium little further, etc. Hope this makes sense... :)
A: You should not be using any tools at all to operate this device. in fact,I do have mine on at the moment to answer your question. Just turn. you might need to hold the base or the adjustment ring for the type of stream (shower, vertical, etc) that you might want to set it up. I hope that helps.
A: No tool is needed. Use your fingers. It should move with minimal resistance. I have two and the top piece doesn't so much lift up as it rotates to allow moving the tabs in front of the nozzel.
A: I just rotate my top piece
A: There are two dials, tweak them for spray pattern wanted. Mine doesn’t go up as well, just turn up or down water to adjust distance.
A: The two I recently bought came with no instructions. But to my knowledge, that is not the way to control distance on these sprinklers. The top ring has an array of four different length teeth and one full-flow position that somewhat controls the distance. These teeth should be positioned EXACTLY in the center of the flow opening. The longer the tooth, the greater the diffusion, and the more distance reduction.
A: Adam, typically water pressure is the cause of this problem, but there are a few other potential factors as well. Please contact our Support team at 1-800-488-6156, and we'd be more than happy to troubleshoot with you until the issue is resolved.
A: There are two arc control rings near the base of these sprinklers, which allow them to oscillate from about 5 degrees to almost 360 degrees. I'll bet four mothers-in-law that yours are positioned with the ring tabs aligned with each other. Spread them apart and try the sprinkler again. If it still doesn't move, you may have a defective one.
A: Try moving the bottom, green adjusters that allow it to either oscillate full circle or if they are in just the right position from each other they’ll stop the oscillation. The 2 green tabs near the bottom of the black case just above the metal stake. The only other thing I can think of is maybe a pebble got in the mechanism from the hose?
A: Did you get familiar or read the instructions how to operate them? I do not have a problem with mine other than it can be a bit "leaky". Other than that, it oscillate at different angles I set it to, including 360 degrees. If they are new?
A: If you have set the limit tabs on the lower part of the sprinkler and they still don't oscillate I would say they are broken.
A: I dont have a solution for you, but can tell you mine worked immediately upon install. I'd return them both.
A: If they have the standard water hose fitting, yes.
A: Yes. You will experience less water flow with the smaller 0.50 diameter hose compared to the 0.625 or a 0.75 inch diameter hose.
A: You mean 5/8" and a 1/2" hose? the hose ends are the same.
A: I think the hose connector is standard on both hose sizes.
A: BOTH OF THE SPRINKLERS I PURCHASE ARE .625. YOU CAN BUY AN ADAPTER IF YOUR HOSE IS .5
