A:  All the angle locks and controlling mechanism are on the lower front part of the saw.

A:  The bevel locks are located on the right and left sides of the miter lock, at the very front end of the saw. Refer to pages 9 and 16 of the downloadable manual for specific instructions.

A:  The bevel does not adjust like the dewalt miter on the back of the saw. I believe the bevel adjustment is by the on/off trigger.

Q:The Ridgid 10in Sliding Compound saw

    Answer This Question

A:  It could just be a matter of space. The larger Home Depots in my area have this saw in stock right now. The smaller stores, such as the one closest to me, do not stock it. Given the fact that Home Depot has to make room for a LOT of Ryobi models and big sellers like DeWalt, many of the Home Depots around here don't have room for Ridgid sliders, Bosch, and Makita miter saws.

Q:What size (OD of Nozzle) can be properly attached???? Even a Ridgid shop vac will not fit... Anyone have any success.

    Answer This Question

A:  I had a old genie shop vac that had a 2in hose that was with it. The end was soft enough to fit inside the vac port it also connected to my Ridgid vac so that is what I have been using. Still expect some dust off the saw think the ribber catch behind the saw needs to be a little bit longer but what I did helped.

    by|May 3, 2023

A:  I found the same problem. Ridgid needs to review their tool compatibility. Since I connected my saw to a large dust collector I used a length of flex hose and a hose clamp. But being able to hook up a ridgid shop vac would be nice if I ever needed to go portable.

    by|May 4, 2023

A:  my rigid brand and shop vac brand hoses both fit perfect. just measured they are 2 1/4 od they both slide snug fit inside the saw hose stub

Q:I want to mount this on a bench in my shop, but I don't know if I have enough room for the sliding mechanism. What is the minimum required clearance behind the saw? Ideally, what is the maximum depth from the front mounting holes to the rear of the slides when the saw is all the way back?

    Answer This Question

A:  The saw measures appx 29" from the front mounting holes to the back of the extension bars/handle. Keep in mind the needed clearance when you use the saw for non- 90deg cuts.

Q:If I buy this saw online, it still comes with the lifetime warranty correct?

            Answer This Question

A:  If you an get it registered it does. I have bought 2 Rigid power tools that are suppose to be coverable under the lifetime warranty. In both cases the on-line registration system could not verify the purchase. So I needed to cut out the UPC code from the box and send it with the sales receipt. Unfortunately, my miter saw box go hauled away before I found out that I needed the UPC code. Not a good situation.

Q:Does the center handle get in the way of "line of sight" with the work piece and is it "awkward" (twisting the wrist) when doing bevel cuts?

                Answer This Question

A:  I've not had a problem in my use of the saw. I have done compound bevels and not found that the handle gets in the way. I do have some arthritis and the handle is very easy on me. I can be used with either hand. My method is to stand a bit to the left when using my right hand and to the right when using my left hand. The switch safety release is positioned on both sides of the handle so it can be operated with either the right or left thumb.

                by|May 4, 2023

A:  No the handle does not get in the way of line of sight. No it is not at all awkward when doing bevel cuts. It is a very comfortable and natural motion.
