Haven't used it much yet, but like everything so far. Am building a stand for it currently and using it to help build it. No complaints so far. For the price compared to other equivalent tools, I don't think it can be beat. Obviously it isn't Festool, but what normal person can afford their stuff. The picture is of the Fine Woodworking chopsaw stand that I'm in process of building........

If you are a wood butcher with a framing axes on hip this is not the saw for you, buy a DeWalt 12" sliding miter but if you are stain grade finish craftsman you will love this saw. For twice or even 3 times the price you can't beat this saw. The soft start, center handle, ambidextrous trigger, front controls and blade brake give the cabinet quality craftsman a saw that can reduce his work load and make accurate reputable cuts. The dust collection pickup needs a little attention as do all miter saws but is a easy fix with a duct tape extension. The saw came set at dead on zero and the diablo blade is plus. The double laser can help production and gravity light is nice extra if you are cutting in low light conditions. In my opinion Ridgid set a new standard for finish miter saws with this 10 inch beauty.

Amazing miter saw for the price, the design was well thought out. In the Aerospace industry we call it human engineering (where the master kill switch is located for an astronaut or pilot) and the engineers who designed this saw did a good job in that department. Little features like left or right hand operation, dual adjustable lasers (both sides of the blade), gravity LEDs, cord routing out of the way with a cord wrap, etc., are just a few cool features, but the real workhorse is how well it does it's job it was designed for, great tool for the price. The manual has a great complete guide for full adjustments, tweaks and maintenance. First thing out of the box was I checked fence, base and base to blade for square, then checked on 45 deg, all QA passed, so kudos to RIDGID's QA factory team for ensuring I could use this out of the box.

Right out the box I check the alignment of the saw. The table was square to the fence and the blade was perpendicular to the table. My first cuts were dead on. The Diablo 40 tooth blade was put right to the test building Christmas tree stands cutting an entire pallet of pressure treated fence boards. I stacked them 3 high and cut them into three 2 foot pieces. Almost two hours of constant cutting The Diablo blade and Ridgid saw work great together, quick smooth cuts. I like both the soft start and the blade breaking. The soft start allowed the saw and shop vac to share the same outlet. No tripping of the circuit breakers.

I have been using this saw for over a year now and still hate it. I decided to go with this saw because of the lifetime warranty the success of the other Ridgid tools I own. I have to say this is one of the worst one. My main complaint is that when you pull the trigger your expecting the saw to immediately be at full RPM, but it's not, it slowly starts out and ramps up to full RPM. I feel this is very dangerous and is a pain. Another issue I have with it is even with a brand new fine finish blade (60 tooth) it still splinter the wood, I have not been able to make a clean or accurate cut with this saw yet. Over the summer I build a large deck and the customer I was building it for had the 12"DeWalt double bevel compound saw. I fell in love with that saw... It had power and was very accurate. My opinion is if your spending the $350 for this saw, you might as well spend another $150 and get the DeWalt.

Product came squared and ready to cut. Saw cuts smooth and precise. The Laser and light are a great feature. Collects dust very well. I bolted it on a Kobalt stand no problem. I love the handle placement. Makes cutting with either hand a breeze! Don't hesitate, pick up this saw! Built this farmhouse table below and everything came out great!

      junk
Fence isnt square to the blade and there isnt a way to adjust besides re-forging and/or re-milling the whole fence assembly. I used to be a big ridgid fan. Cant say that anymore.

        Possibly my favorite saw
I have used dozens of miter saws and this is one of my favorites. Prior to purchasing this one I researched many of the other brands and debated between 10 in and 12 in. In the end I settled on this one. I felt like if offered the best bang for the buck and was a solid product. I have now owned it for over a year and have used it extensively (deck building, house framing, interior trim, furniture building, plumbing (PVC cutting) etc.). Here are a few of my favorite features: *sliding arm is smooth and accurate *I like the LED light and laser - the laser was not dead on when I got it and needed to be adjusted but when I have lots of quick cuts the laser is a huge help. *I think 10" blade is the perfect size for me. I think the 12" would have been over kill (bigger, heavier, and more expensive blades). Plus in a pinch I have been able to swap blades with my 10" table saw. *The miter angle is very easy and quick to adjust - the bevel is not as quick and easy (requires a wrench) but is very manageable. *Plenty of power - have not ran into anything yet that has posed a problem The only Con for this saw is the dust collection bag. It is next to worthless. I sometimes hook up my shop vac and that helps. All in all, the saw is very well designed. I highly recommend getting the mobile Ridgid Miter Saw Stand (Model # AC9945) if you plan on moving it around. The combo of saw and stand have made this saw easily my favorite saw I have owned to date.

        10" Rigid miter saw
The Rigid 10" miter saw was good right out of the box. The cuts were smooth with very little to no blow out or fuzz on the under side of the cut. I really like the Freud Diablo blade that came stock with the saw. Checked the laser on the left side of the blade and the blade cut dead on but when I tried it to the right of the blade and all miter cuts it was off. Will have to check into the adjustments for this, just did not have the time on the job site. The slide cuts were easy and smooth with little effort. The clamp for holding pieces down on the miter table just got in the way, easy to remove. Overall very nice saw and the Life time warranty is a real plus. I replaced a Delta Sawbuck that I have used for over 20 years, so it will take some time for me to get use to set up with long pieces of trim with this new saw.

        Easy to learn and use
I bought this saw with the Ridgid mobile saw stand and they went together perfectly and easily. I wanted this saw for finishing my basement and initially i used it as a chopbox and it was very easy to setup and learn... my wife liked it so much that she wanted to make all of the cuts. The miter and double bevel features are, again, easy to use and well executed. The saw is very stable. As far as demerits, i would say the only issues i have found after making hundreds of cuts was that the back fences are not perfectly flush and the laser-lines are not perfectly aligned to the blade. But they are easy issues to overcome/predict.

        great saw.
The wife bought me this saw as an early Xmas present. wasnt sure it would perform like a hitachi or bosch but gave it a try anyway. Had to build a custom mantel and book case and was on a very tight deadline, so i didnt have time to calibrate anything. was very suprised that the saw cut perfectly square out of the box. the saw has some great features such as front controls, led work light, dual laser (not totally accurate, but if you need this you probably shouldn't be building anthing of any difficulty) crown stop and one of the most important imo slow-start. The only cons are the safety takes some getting used to and for some reason the dust collection worked pretty well for the first couple hours then after emptying the bag and clearing the port it seemed like nothing was making it into the bag. probably something simple to fix just havent had the time. got this on sale for $299 which is well below dewalt, bosch, makita and hitachi, but can perform just the same. i would definitely recommend.

          Don't buy!
I purchased this saw a month ago based on my needs, the performance and abilities described and the lifetime warranty. The saw cuts well. Has the power I need to cut the materials I use. The laser is not accurate. It is adjustable, but only from the left to right. It is out of alignment from 90 degrees from the fence. It is out of alignment about 2 degrees. On a wide piece it does not indicate where the blade will begin to cut. This is a design issue and could be easily resolved with a redesign of the adjustments for the laser. The dust collector is useless, but then again, aren't they all. Some people have commented that the start up of the blade is slow. The blade does take a second to get to full speed. However, for the price I have no issue here. Overall the saw is well built. I do wish they had included a depth gauge. The saw can be adjusted to set a depth, but with no gauge you must measure from the bottom of the blade and adjust accordingly. Doable, but cumbersome. I also wish they included a bevel lock detent for the common bevel angles. Due to the Laser issue and the lack of a depth gauge I have given quality a 4. Due to other issues I have given the value a 1 and would not recommend this product.

As a home handyman I love this saw
I love this saw, yes - as other reviewers have noted the lasers are wider than the kerf and sometimes need adjusting from the factory. Maybe I don't have the experience to know any better, but I just did some practice cuts before relying on the laser position and adjusted my expectations based on where the cut was relative to the laser. At least the lasers are WIDER than the kerf, so you can always second-cut if you've left too much on your first cut. The lasers were visibile outside for me (not in full sunlight, but who wants to leave their saw in full sunlight all day?) and easy to align and use. The saw was (relatively) quiet and cut straight and easily every time. Not a big deal because it's easy to add later, but having the Diablo blade as standard equipment is awesome. It's an amazing blade and made short work of my fossilized bamboo. The sawdust bag gets caught when sliding the saw sometimes, but I had hooked up a vac pretty soon after starting my project anyway.

          Beautiful Power Tool
As a retiree and former electrician, I can't cut a straight line without a saw that keeps the cut straight. When our house was flooded last year and I lost my table and cutoff saws, I decided to purchase just a really good cutoff saw (which is what I do most) that allowed for at least a 12" cut for shelving, etc. This tool does that and is a fine tool besides. I can't do much about the quality of the lumber available now, but I can at least execute a straight cut with ease. In my career as an electrician I was a confirmed Milkaukee man (all of those tools survived the flood), but I am now going to look carefully at Rigid tools after this purchase.

Great set of features, having the Miter and Bevel controls out front are great, cut 30+ pieces of baseboard and trim, most with 45 degree cuts and they lined up great every time. The power cord management is a nice touch, the 3 handles make moving this heavy saw easier, the Miter detents lock-in nice and solid. The included blade is excellent. I can't think of a negative or non-solid bit about this saw, extremely happy with it.

I purchased this saw on 9-17-16. I really like the features on this saw but had a problem with the fixed fence not being square. I contacted the customer warrenty service and was sent a replacement fence within 3 days. The replacement fence was easy to install and fixed the problem. The customer service was great.

After years of a using a cheap miter saw, i finally made the upgrade to this saw. I can't believe I waited this long. It has good power, a smooth slide, easy miters and bevels. Has some features that make you wonder where they were all my life like a cord storage and an amazing multi position clamp. I went with the 10in over the 12 due to multiple reviews of blade wobble. I replaced the stock blade and have perfectly smooth cuts. Unless you are going to keep on a table, i highly recommend spending the money and getting the MSUV as well. Makes moving, storing, and transporting a breeze.

Everything worked as expected except dust collection. I hooked it up to my collection system but it still shot sawdust all over. I added a cutout from a plastic container to help direct the dust which helps a little. Laser guide seems pretty accurate. The regular light isn't very illuminating.
