A: I found this driver to be pretty useless. It wouldn't even take the blade bolts off my Toro Timemaster. I would recommend a Milwaukee, De Walt or Makita for this.

A: Hello, Stephen - Thank you for your interest in the ONE+ 18V Cordless 3-Speed 1/2 in. Impact Wrench. I'm sorry, this information is not available. Proper fastening torque may be determined by the kind of bolt, the size of the bolt or the material or the workpiece. It is helpful to perform a test operation to determine the proper fastening time for the nut or bolt you are using. Many variables exist that will cause the available torque of the fastener to vary considerably. A: Torque is FT-Lbs or inch-lbs , in the English system. it's NOT PSI as noted in one given response-- ...lug nuts are usually torqued at 70 to 80 PSI PSI is pressure---ex, the output of an air compressor.
A: I believe it's 300 ft/lbs regardless of the speed chosen.
A: I can not say for sure what the torque rating is exactly but I use mine on the 1 setting to take off lug nuts. It works fine and lug nuts are usually torqued at 70 to 80 PSI. Number 2 and 3 appear to be less. The number one setting may go higher but for speed and convience of removing bolts with lower torque you can't go wrong. It also works well doing exhaust systems and brakes.
A: Low 400 inch pound medium 1000 inch pounds High 1800 inch pounds

A: Yes I have. This is the second impact of this type and brand. It is an improvement of the first. So with that said I have been quite happy with its torque and stamina. Have driven 3/8 to 1/2 inch lag screws in solid lumber. If going into hardwoods like aged oak might want to predrill and lube fastener.
A: Not exactly sure what you mean by structural screws, but Ive used mine to drive 3/8" and 1/2" wood screws (lag screws) into full size 2X materials to attach them into 4x4 materials and 6x6 posts/columns. I did pre-drill a smaller hole into both pieces when I positiioned them where I wanted them. They drew down very tightly and securely and I was very satisfied with the outcome. I have a degree in Architectural Engineering, spent a great number of years in building and construction, and served as a field engineer for a number of architectural firms over a 20 year period. Hope that helps, Lord bless and good luck.
A: I have driven 3/8" x 6 " lag bolts into large timbers. It never even slowed down. You'll have no problems. Just use at least a 4ah battery. Sometimes I use a 9ah a 9 ah.
A: Disabledvet8890, thank you for your interest in the RYOBI 18-Volt ONE+ Cordless 3-Speed 1/2 in. Impact Wrench. With the correct bit and screw this would be ideal for that project. A: Yes, it will snap the structural screw if you don’t drill a substantial pilot hole.
A: I used this to run in some pretty long 1/2 lag screws, and they went in without any issue at all.
