Love the 360 feature

18v ratchet
Love this Ryobi 4 position head ratchet, has a lock button above trigger. The light is great incase of nighttime use, overall a great tool and must have for the mechanics in your life.

Ryobi ratchet quick and easy to use budget friendly
Great brush motor 3/8 ratchet. It makes removing and installing bolt easy with less elbow grease. It has feels great holding but only flaw I would say is the battery. It causes it to be bulky and heavy on one side. They did add rotation to the head to help on some application but won’t be the best for tight spot.

Quicker than my old mastercraft
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I just bought this to finish a job tonight and loved that it was quicker and seemed more powerfull than my old mastercraft one. The rotating head allows me to change between 4 sides to allow the tool to lay flat against the part i am trying to wrench on and not have the bulk of the battery in the way. I am already in love with the grip and feel of the pull lever which reminds me of my air tools.

I have some concerns.
I purchased this tool 2 months ago. It has damaged every battery I owned. When I purchased this tool it didn't come with the battery so I purchased the two-pack lithium, with the battery life tester button on the battery. It also broke those two. So in a period of 2 months I've lost 5 batteries and I'm down to 1.
I'm very disappointed at this point.
I wanted this because It was perfect for the jobs that I do. It was able to fit everywhere I needed it to fit and I didn't have to worry about over torquing nor stripping.
If it wasn't for the five batteries it broke and of course their cost this would have been a great tool for my garage.

Love the large paddle switch and rotating head , I only wish that the battery reciever also rotated like the old blue ryobi grinder and 3/8 right angle drill. But none the less the power and ease of use of this product makes it my go to for my socket set when doing automotive repairs.

Another winner in the Ryobi 18v lineup! This 1/4 inch ratchet is incredibly handy for working with smaller nuts and bolts, and has made getting into tight spaces in engine compartments of cars much easier. Many times I can get a ratchet onto a bolt, but there just isnt room to turn the ratchet. This helps immensely with that. While the power is less than what I originally expected, it is more than capable for bolts requiring a 1/4 inch drive socket.
I reall appreciate the ability to rotate the head, which makes getting into tight areas easier. Also, the light can be very handy when reaching down into a cramped engine compartment. The paddle switch has a lock out to keep it from being activated, but is easily turned off with the flip of a small switch near the paddle. That means you dont have to activate the lockout each time you turn it on, but rather once before use.
I am a bit disappointed though, as the ratchet is supposed to have a belt clip to hang it from your pants or belt. The instructions show how to install the belt clip but I couldnt find it in the box. After looking over the instructions carefully, I found the fine print that said it is an option and is not included. Nor was the socket extension or adapter included, even though the ratchet has the place to store them built into the handle. Come on Ryobi, you left out the 10 cent piece of metal that is the belt clip, and a 25 cent adapter? I understand cost saving measures for manufacturers, but Ryobi has always been great about having those items in the box for all their other tools such as drills. I removed 1 star due to this omission. It would have been a half star, but that wasnt an option.
Overall, I like the ratchet very much. I just wish Ryobi had not chosen to cheap out in the accessories that they have historically included. I hope that isnt a sign of things to come, especially after raising their prices this year.

Large and in charge
I am a heavy duty engine tech and I have been using this ratchet for the better part of two months now. I wanted to get a feel for the product before leaving a review. This ratchet has saved me time and my hearing. I had a loud air ratchet before I would neglect to use which cost me efficiency. I have been wishing I could get my hands on an affordable ratchet that can save me the time I lost. This ratchet is not the easiest to manuever into tight quarters like some competitors can. Squeezing into frame rails and behind engine blocks is still achievable with extensions, the object you want to have in your toolbox most to use this tool properly is a 3/8 chrome wobble socket. It gets you everywhere you need to be. There is an obvious loss of torque when using wobbles and extensions with this tool. A 6" extension causes this tool to have difficulty breaking 18ft/lb loose with it's programming.There is a technique I have found, operate this tool like a saw by starting to turn on the unit and then shove it into the bolt. It will break it loose and bypass the previous programming.Don't torque on this thing, it feels like a rubber mallet when pushing on it. Also, if you use this tool at 100% throttle on anything that has a breakaway torque less than 20ft/lb like a u-clamp, hose clamp, or the like it will snap the pinched object in two. Then you have to explain to your boss that you need a new component!! He doesn't like it when you break things... so be wary! =)Do buy a 3/8 wobble or even a wobble set! Always torque with this beasty, it can hit the 35ft/lb but I've found until the clutch brake in this guy starts to wear off, you don't get the full cosmic power this tool possesses. So run this beasty like it wants to, spin that head every chance you can get! It does make things easier when the throttle is not held down by gravity as you are under a vehicle.. Ryobi engineers - Make the throttle lock a depressed feature... it is way too easy to accidentally lock when you're trying to run the bolt down. Also, please set a 10 second timer on the lighting much like the 1/2" impact I have. Thanks, waiting for round 2 of this guy, prototype tester please?TL;DR:Buy this tool if you have no ratchet in your inventory but get a wobble, Don't use on clamps of any type. Always torque after using. The flashlight needs an update on programming and you will always accidentally lock the throttle, especially when it's held against your palms.
