Mid torque Monster!!
This tool packs a punch! Suspension bolts, axle nuts, lag bolts, you name it this tool can do it! I have yet to meet a bolt this mid torque even struggled with. Ridgid once again knocks it out of the park once again.

mid-torque impact driver impresses!
I bought this because of the good reviews. I was changing the rear shocks on my truck and could not get the bolts loose with a 24" breaker bar and a 4 foot piece of pipe.
This impact driver took the nuts off with ease!

Wonderful Machine by Ridgid
An amazing product by Ridgid and comparable to Milwaukee M18 by all means, lifetime warranty is a huge plus!
Product gets 5 stars!
However 3 stars are for Homedepot for poor logistics! slapping fedex labels on tool original packaging itself and dumping it in the mail, package is ugly and beat up and bent in bunch of places, so much for a gift for someone! I called and they told me just return it to the store, they also told that not using brown boxes is common practice at homedepot. Shame!

I always wanted a Ridgid cordless impact driver
Well, I always wanted a Ridgid cordless impact driver just not a high-torque impact driver. The RIDGID 18V Brushless Cordless 4-Mode 1/2 in. Impact driver with Mid-Torque just fit my needs. The extra was that it is a Ridgid, and I own many Ridgid tools already is a bonus. This tool does what I ask it to do and need it to do. If this was even a little helpful, then please smash the helpful button 2022 style.

Sweet Spot
This dude hits the sweet spot of weight, balance, and torque between the high torque and the impact driver. It’s probably all most people will need, especially DIYers, since you can throw a reducer on it and use it with 3/8 as well without running into too many space constraints due to its compactness relative to the high torque.
Overall great feel. Another worthy competitor to the other big boys.

I can't believe how quick this made working on the tractor
The RIDGID R86012 medium power brushless impact driver just pops the 223 ft lb screws out that have been in the tractor for seven years. I would have struggled a lot to get those out with a breaker bar. This driver is rated up to 650 ft lb removal torque. I most like the automatic mode that stops impacting when the bolt comes loose or when it snugs down. That makes it easier to handle and helps prevent over torqueing. The driver is rated for 500 ft lb tightening and has three speeds in addition to automatic. There is a good worklight in the base of the handle. It takes the same 18V batteries that I use in all my other RIDGID tools.

Great quality, powerful, portable, great features.
This Ridgid 18V impact wrench (model R86012) is perfect for handling those projects that need attachment or removal of nuts and sockets. I am not an auto mechanic; so my use of the tool is for general construction projects. I had gotten by before with an adapter to my drill, but a dedicated tool is quicker and more efficient. I already have Ridgid tools utilizing 18V batteries. I have a Ridgid dual battery charger and 4.0Ah 18V batteries; so I only needed the impact wrench (tool only). This tool works perfectly with my existing batteries. That is one advantage of Ridgid’s 18V compatible battery system. This is a mid-torque wrench so it is the right size with more than enough power for most construction-type projects. It has some very nice features including four speed settings, one of which is “auto”. On auto, the wrench will shut off automatically when the nut or bolt provides feed back resistance. That will allow more defined user action depending on what additional tightening is needed. There is an LED light to illuminate the area when the trigger is depressed. The sockets are held in place with a friction ring and my sockets go on easily and are removed with a firm grasp and pull. The motor is brushless. The 4.0Ah battery provides long run use and quick recharge with the Ridgid battery charger; so the tool is very portable.
