Q:Does anyone know if this will bind road base so wheelchairs can access a path?
by|Apr 9, 2024
1 Answer
Answer This Question

A:  Chris, The short answer is 'yes'. G3 products have been used in these situations (Base rock and G3 have even been used in tractor trailer/semi-truck loading areas). In 'most' conditions a G3-treated base rock will be extremely firm. However, it has limitations. I'd recommend that you contact our Technical Support Department to discuss your application in greater detail, to assure we are offering the best product for your specific needs.

Q:The container cracked and spilled maybe a gallon in the back of my truck for 5 days before I realized. How do I clean it up please? I washed it with soap and water and pressure washed it and my bedliner is still white and there are streaks down the bed.

    Answer This Question

A:  Chris, since G3 is an adhesive it can stain porous surfaces (usually this will be stone, concrete, wood, etc). If the dried polymer isn’t easily to remove then you will need to use a ‘sealant remover’ (there are several options sold @Home Depot). If you require further assistance please contact our Technical Support Department.

Q:What size crushed stone do recommend for sub base

      Answer This Question

A:  Butch, Preferably a standard 3/4" minus 'base rock' is recommended (in California it's referred to as Class II base rock, it might have other titles in different States, but it's a National standard material). This base rock provides a 'structural' setting for your G3-treated crushed stone to be installed over.

Q:Is it recommended to install weed barrier under the DG
        by|Jan 15, 2024
        1 Answer
        Answer This Question

A:  No. Weed fabrics are not needed or recommended. A optimally installed G3 surface should inhibit 'most' weed growth. If a weed or grass does find a way to germinate, simply 'pull out' and lightly re-treat the affected area with G3 and it will be as good as new.

Q:Will this keep flat stone from moving or shifting and will it kill my oak tree

          Answer This Question

A:  Kathy, G3 is safe for plants. animals, aquatic life...and people. So, your oak Tree will be fine, however most customers leave a 'ring' around the tree base, since it might be damaged from compaction. But, it sounds like you have some stepping stones or flagstone? If so, we have another product specifically designed for those application, NanoPave JSS; which doesn't require mechanical compaction. Check both products out and if you have any unanswered questions, give our Technical Support departments a call to help assure you are getting the best product for your application..

A:  Linda, We have a product specifically designed to stabilize your paving joints and seal your paving surface; NanoPave JSS 2-1 Joint Stabilizer and Sealer. It comes in two sheens; a matte finish/natural-look or and enhanced-look (which brings out some additional color in your paving). For narrow paving joints (>1") you can use an all-purpose jointing sand, but for wider joints you need to used a 1/4" minus crushed stone/decomposed granite. Let us know if you have any additional questions.

Q:can it be used on flagstone to minimize the flaking off the stone?

                Answer This Question

A:  Frank, Flagstone flaking is just a naturally occurring issue with certain sedimentary stones (usually sandstone). Unfortunately, a sealer or stabilizer will not be a long-term solution, although it might 'lessen' some of the flaking. But, the challenge is water intrusion from below surface that will absorb into the stones. However, a product such as our MOLECULE SRS will help 'water-proof' the top surface of your paving and can help reduce the delamination issues. Let us know if you have any additional questions.
