The MILWAUKEE M18 ROVER Mounting Flood Light is designed to work in any workspace, jobsite, and on any surface with 1500 lumens of TRUEVIEW High Definition Output. The portable food light has two powerful magnets that allow users to mount the light onto almost any metal surface and a 2" spring-loaded clamp to fix the light to piping, dimensional lumber, jobsite equipment, cabinetry, and doors. These versatile hanging features paired with a folding and rotating light head design allow users to direct the light to any workspace to increase productivity. It is impact-resistant, capable of surviving a 9 ft. drop and is backed by a limited lifetime warranty, the LEDs never need to be replaced. Really Good but not Great
This is my go to light when I'm working in IT or AV equipment racks. The magnets on this are super strong that hold tight even when I'm using a larger sized battery.
There's tons of light and it's plenty bright.
Where it falls short is a couple design flaws. The handle isn't much of a handle when there's a mid size to large battery in there.
Second, the clamp feature of the light (which I love) is compromised when using a mid to large battery. Since the battery sticks out it shortens the opening of the clamp and sometimes I can't use it.
Lastly, where the magnet side is in relation to the pivot and swivel of the light. If you're flat up against a surface with the magnet side holding on, it restricts the movability of the light.
Since I mostly use this on steel equipment racks like I have shown in the pictures I don't run into these issues everyday but it certainly has come up. I guess it's really just finding the right light for the tasks you're working on.

I use this in many ways mainly with my Tractor as a way to put light where I want it. I mount it on the Roll Bar with the built-in clamp and turn the light head where it's needed.then when I'm not working on the tractor it's a compact very bright light.

Good light but 1 flaw.
This is a good work light except for 1 problem. When you have the light hanging from the magnets you are limited on the adjustment of the light. You can not move it in all directions. If the pivot point were on the other side you would have the ability to move it in all directions.

GREAT LIGHT OUT PUT STRONG MAGNET
The light has a great design althought it is hard to carry from the handle with a larger battery but I didnt buy it to tote around. I bought ut to set up and have in the connex and it works for that

Another solid addition to the M18 product line. Excellent work light perfect for any project work when having a corded light is not convenient or you just want to speed up a project by not taking the time to find outlets and power cords. Its clearly rugged and has flexible mounting options. Besides the option of free standing on floor or table it can be attached to wall members like 2 x 4s and joists with built-in mounting clamps or mounting to metal studs or other metal pieces such as ductwork or sides of furnaces with strong built-in magnetic mounts. I recommend this for pros or DIYers when you want to take full advantage and freedom of cordless tools.

The M18 18-Volt Cordless Rover Mounting Flood Light does the job. I like the way you can aim the light in any direction. The light flips up to aim vertically and rotates side to side to adjust horizontally. The light has magnets to attach it to steel. The light also has a clamping system to let you attach to something like a ladder. There are 2 buttons, one is a power button that turns on the light. The other is a mode button that will adjust the brightness. There are 3 brightness settings. The highest setting is really bright! If you are rough with your tools and afraid you might break the lens, you can rotate the lens so it is turned into the body for safe lens protection. I like this light and I do recommend.

This battery operated mounting rover flood light is another outstanding tool from the Milwaukee brand. As usual this Milwaukee product exceeds my expectations. The three selectable output light levels (1500, 600, and 300 Lumens) provide all the illumination you need for a given work situation. The built in magnets (see Photograph 1.) quickly allow you to attach the light to metals that contain iron, nickel, or cobalt. There is also a built in clamp which allows you to attach the light to a flat surface. (See Photograph 2, I am using a door stop to hold the clamp open.) The light emitting face is rotatable up to 150 degrees one way and 180 degrees the other. (See Photograph 3.) Note, the light comes without the rechargeable Milwaukee M18 battery. (See Photographs 4 and 5.) Well done Milwaukee!
