Q:Can I move this freezer with it lying on its side for a seven hour period of time?

Answer This Question

A:  It is always recommended whenever possible to transport it in the upright position. If that is not possible you can place it on it's side. Once you get to the final location you will want to keep it upright unplugged for the same amount of time it was on its side. Do not plug the freezer into the electrical receptacle without allowing this settling time. The freezer could be damaged if it is plugged in prematurely.

            A:  We recommend keeping the lid closed and not introducing warm air. Your freezer will keep food frozen for 24 hours provided warm air is not admitted. If the freezer is out of operation for 24 hours or more, we recommend adding dry ice. Leave the ice in large pieces and add more ice as required.
