I have the 7.0 model and would like to know does it or doesn't it restart on its own after a power outage? I have it in my vacation home and need to know if I have to drive up there to restart it. In the Q&A's you give both a yes and a no???
It all depends on how long the power outage lasts. If it is brief the unit should start back up. If it is for a longer duration of time, it is possible the unit may not turn back on. In this event, it could be an issue with a locked compressor or one of the starter components.

No. I don’t think they sell any frost free chest freezers. The way frost free wrks is they basically dehumidify the space, which means more water. It’s also part of what causes freezer burn. As a result frost free chest freezers are rare.
