Basically Satisfactory Milled Boards
These were basic 2x4s for a workbench, not for furniture. The boards themselves were straight. I bought both 2 ft and 4 ft lengths and there was no cupping or warping. This is only for a shop bench so it saved me from having to mill, cut, and square larger pieces.

I was in need of 3, 2' strips of 2x4 to mount a piece of plywood to a concrete wall, these were economical and already cut to the exact length I needed. I screwed the plywood to these with deck screws and then used 1/4" x 4" Tapcon screws to mount it to the wall.

Dear KW, we are sorry to hear this product did not meet your expectations. Treated wood is typically still wet when it's delivered to The Home Depot or job site. As it dries, you should expect slight changes in width and length. Each piece of lumber is unique and carries physical characteristics that may include the following: knots, warping, shrinkage, swelling and/or splitting. No two pieces of lumber are the same. Boards are not cut at 24” long. They are about 1/4” short.

You are correct, these boards are advertised as a nominal dimension of 2 in x 4 in x 2 ft but do have an actual dimension of 1.5 in x 3.5 in x 2 ft, as described in the Product Specifications section. It is industry standards to advertise a wood product with its nominal dimensions (the dimension the wood was when it was originally cut). After the wood is planed and treated, this does bring the width and thickness down to the actual dimension. Additionally, as lumber dries, there could be more slight changes in width and thickness as this is a natural occurrence of wood. If your project calls for precise measurements, be sure to check your lumber before purchasing.
