Hard to mortise for hinges , and not rigid for plum , unlike wood . Does not rot , this is the only advantage

Quality of the product is good. Don't expect to use wood chisels alone to cut necessary places for hinges, etc. You will also need a dremel tool with an appropriate bit. The brick molding I bought to accompany this had been apparently dropped and damaged on one of the pre-mitered ends. Luckily I also own a miter saw.

Really a quality product. Easy to install and very clean.

The Door Jamb Moulding kit contained two right hand moulding pieces instead of a left hand and a right hand piece. I had to cut a notch into one piece to make it fit. Fortunately I had access to the tools required to make the new notch, it just took extra time.

It was a reasonable price, it was exactly what I wanted. The entry door is no longer available, so jamb replacement was the only option. All I had to do was mortise the hinges and lock strike. Way to go on getting the best price!

Was simple to put together

The composite material was a bit more troublesome because I did not have the right tools for the job. I am pleased with the material and finish.

The piece was just what we needed to complete DIY installation of a new solid-core, wooden front door.

excellent product cut sides to length and assemble the kit before installation to ensure the jamb is sized in the opening appropriately easy to cut and route but get the vacuum ready as the dust gets everywhere you'll save on paint too, finish is very good

I used this to replace the bottom 12" of an existing wood jamb that had rotten. It works just like wood. Zero problems and now I don't have to worry about any more rotting. I wish I could have bought a single piece instead of a kit, but it was still worth it.
