Finish with oil
Rubbing a bit of Danish oil into it resulted in a very nice medium brown color

Good product
This product and its cousins of different dimensions (outlet cover, rocker switch cover, etc) have worked really well for us. We stained them to match the new woodwork in our cabin and they look so much better than plain beige

great help for our home decor
This worked perfectly to bring the switch plates into the same design scheme as our stained cedar window and door wraps. This was much better than plain beige plastic or painted to match the wall color.
