Straight forward assembly. One of the wheel stud bolts was loose because it was stripped. Contacted AgriFab and a replacement wheel was sent right away. It will be a couple months before I use it but don't expect any issues. Bought this model because it has a solid rod mechanism to open and close the hopper slide. Some have a wire control and they do not work. The drive cog and sprocket looks like it will operate well.

I bought the Agri-Fab 110 lb spreader right after I put the winter fertilizer on my yard with my push spreader and realized I don't want to do it again (I'm getting old). I haven't used it as yet. Putting it together wasn't too difficult, once I found two 7/16th wrench/sockets so I'll rate the assembly only.

I found this very easy to use and loved being able to open and close the opening from my lawn tractor seat. It was stable to tow and seems sturdy.

salt doesnt fall down into the spreader so well, have to have a stick to mix it around and knock it into the spreader, but shoots it far when pulling behind a lawn tractor.

Check gear linkage before assembly. Mine was defective. Had to request new parts and had to disassemble then reinstall new parts. Missed most of fall seed/fertilizer season

The rotating shaft would not work. Was binding up. Had to grease it up, add some weight to it, then pull it around for a while. It turns now, but not great. I’m sure it will loosen up with more use. I hope. Lol

I wish the handle were a little longer and closer to the tractor, but the spreader works great

This spreader is good. It has a low enough center of gravity to be stable. The assembly took some time but it was straight forward. After assembling I spreader 1,000 lbs of lime and fertilizer, no problems. The gears are metal, not plastic.

I received the spreader in the original box, with every parts, that were just everywhere in the box without any protection so many of the parts were damaged (paint and plastic bucket whith heavy scatches). As for the final product I wonder about the wheels shaft bushings they are very loose as for the shaft diameter, I wonder why an if they will last long since they are thin. Be carefull there is 2 sets of assembly instructions (real waste of paper) one for the walk behind spreader and one for the pull spreader (the one I purchased) . I started assemble the unit with the walk behind spreader (it is alike at the begining of the instructions) then few step furder I realized that parts were not the same. The gear box is revesed if you pull or push the speader.

I think this is a good quality spreader but the gear drive assembly had too many shims installed on the wheel shaft which prevented the drive wheel from moving. After removing one shim it worked just fine.

If you’re looking for a good spreader this is the product for you. The installation process takes some time but all and all it’s very easy to put together.

I recently ought a 100 lb spreader and just finished putting it together. The directions for assembly were great and made the assembly go smoothly. I will use this spreader tomorrow but believe it to be useful and will spread my seed as specified. Very sturdy, well engineered and easy to assemble. WHat esle can you ask for?

Went to put a 50 pound bag in the spreader and only half the bag fit....... then as I was going the left wheel woukd not work the entire time. This is the second agrifab product I have purchaes and I think its saf to say it is the last one. Anyone have recommendations where good quality products are for sale? Because this one is by far cheapest on the market.

Purchase it because of its great reviews. Very disappointed with the product thus far. Took it out of the box to assemble, and there were critical parts missing. Fall coming cat’t use it. Very poor quality control.

The load capacity is about 50% to 60% of the rated number. A critical component of the spreader is made of plastic that broke on it’s first use. Agrifab was very quick to send replacement parts. After the repair and filling the hopper to a reduced capacity, it works very well.

So easy to pull behind and spread fertilizer and grass seed. I use less and feel like I'm getting a spread across the entire lawn. I read the instructions were hard to put together. There was an extra add in instructions with more details (words) to go with the picture which helped. I still had a time putting it together, but just love it.

I put this spreader together, it comes completely disassembled. But the Flow Control Rod was missing, so cannot use until I get that part. It is part #41930. How do I get the part? I don't want to return the spreader and have to start over again with assembly.

Product is great. Living up to my expectations. Have had spreaders in past operated by wire cables. This is operated by metal rods. For superior to less expensive models. Assembly was more challenging than I had expected. Assembly instructions not the best I have ever seen and instruction and pictures in some place were a little confusing.

Assembly was not easy and there were missing parts

Nice product, but broke on first use. The plastic Axle bushing, part # 18 broke in two.

I just assembled mine. The only problem I see is the feeder won’t close all the way.

Simple and easy assembly. Make sure to review the instructions carefully as some described steps can be confusing. Overall build quality is good and I expect many useful years. Something that could surely be improved is to increase the handle length to set the flow of the fertilizer being a tow behind spreader. If you're handy you could overcome this one major weakness in the design of the tow behind spreader. Took one star off for this weakness of the spreader.

Installation video online was a big help since the instructions that came with the spreader were not as clear. The spreader works like a charm.
