I had to replace three downspout connectors because the others had worn out. I really like the Amerimax Stealth Flow downspouts. They appear to be more durable than the originals, and the way they are made makes it easy for them to flex up when my lawn gets serviced. It is a great product; I highly recommend it.

I got kits and extensions to lengthen them. I have the bigger gutter 4x3 and in order to make them fit you have to cut the piece that attaches to the gutter. I had a hard time cutting the plastic with a utility knife at the line indicated. Also had an extremely hard time getting the extensions to "snap" together. I even tried applying grease to them but that didn't help much. It was extremely frustrating. Over all I like the design but a royal pain to put together

I used a standard downspout extension prior and it was such a poor quality it just fell apart. I'm happy to see that this isn't flimsy and the extension pieces actually lock together.

I had an issue where our down spouts, like most, terminated in our flower beds and would erode/washout all the mulch and essentially create a channel. Due to our HOA, I needed to have a cleaner solution then just extending downspouts on top of the mulch bed where it was fairly obvious. I ended up with stealth flow, bought a few 5’ extensions and a couple 2’ extensions. I didn’t completely bury them but dug them in a couple inches so when the mulch was placed it wouldn’t bulge out too much.

I implimented this type of extender to compliment my landscaping plans. This type of extender will be integrated with my flower beds and will not compromise the natural look I'm aspiring to achieve. The installation was easy and didn't require screws to attach to my downspouts. Its sturdy enough to be buried without compromising the flow of water.

Easy to install. It snapped together. Make sure that it goes down to drain and will not back feed since it will come out of the connection point. Material is strong enough to step on. The flexible ridge on the adapter may be a weak point over time.

I spent a hard hour trying to connect multiple sections to No avail. Took the product back to Home Depot to get some help. A store employee and myself spent the next 45 min trying to connect any of the sections without success. Finally I ask for a large flat blade screwdriver to help pry the section where they were just to tight and finally we got them connected. Later at home I used the claw side of a hammer which gave me more leverage and with effort got them back together. Beware, they DO NOT just pop together like the product video shows! Good luck and expect to sweat a bunch! Otherwise its a great concept!

Used this set plus two of the 24” extensions to run my down spout under a walkway. The original aluminum downspout came down the walkway, making it a tripping hazard, and I ripped the aluminum down spout off a number of times as I pulled the hose out. This set solved my problem by running the entire drainage system under the walkway and out of the way of the hose. I trench down about 3” then covered with rock. I don’t see this having a problem withstanding any incidental foot traffic on top. All over lapping joints are with the flow of water, so there shouldn’t be any major leaking. I used this on a 2”x3” ‘A’ downspout. I’m not sure how it would adapt to ‘B’ downspout. It looks like the part that would go on the downspout would rotate 90 deg. but I haven’t tried this.

I say I'd recommend this but check my pictures. If you have a 4" gutter opening like I do I'd stay away for this as the Extension will only fit inside the opening. See the pictures to see what I mean. Since this is my fault for not realizing it I probably should have given it 5 stars. So now I'm looking for a solution and I'm not going to buy a gutter reducer as the cost for one is nuts! I may ruin it but I'm thinking of using my heat gun and seeing if I can stretch it enough to fit on the outside, if it looks like I can't it will be duck tape to the rescue. I guess "measure twice" applies here too. As far as the material is strong PVC which is what you'd expect.

Two piece design causes product to leak. None of the water flows out of the end during slow rains. Ineffective. Stick with a cheaper one piece product.

Works great. Low profile makes it easy to hide with Mulch.

The accordion sleeve that connects to the downspout is a bit flimsy but held up and didn't tear as I had to work it over the spout end. The flat design of the connector is very clever - lies flat and easy to slope slightly down. Because it is flat, it is easy to cover with a thin layer of mulch.

I bought several of these to replace my old round extensions. I put new pine bark nuggets in my flower beds and wanted something that would be hidden nicely under it. They work great! They are easy to assemble. They all snap together. I drilled several holes in the sides and bottom of the flat extension pieces to allow the rainwater to trickle out and water my plants. Why waste good water? If you have 3” x 4” gutter downspouts, you need to cut the piece that attaches to it at the recessed line. It isn’t difficult to cut with a utility knife. The pieces attached nicely to my downspouts, so I didn’t use any screws to hold it in place. I just purchased some 60” extensions to add to the kit so I can water all the plants. I will drill holes in them as well. I ordered the 4631 adjustable elbows, too. So far, so good. We haven’t had any gully washers yet, so time will tell if everything stays in place. So far, I would recommend this kit. I will update my photos when I add the 60” extensions and the elbows.

New version differs slightly from earlier and as I needed only to swap out the flexible part it took some cutting to do so. Note my duct passes underneath a brick paver sidewalk.

My prior downspout extension was a 4-in round flex hose that was buried. This was a hassle to clean out. This Stealthflow extension is a better solution. The cross-section is about the same as that of a 4-inch round hose, so the flow rate should be about the same. My only concern is that the molded "dimples" along the length of the rectangular section may catch leaves and twigs. But since this thing isn't buried, its easy enough to clean out periodically.

This was super easy to install . No problem with pieces fitting together. The main connection to the down spout turns many different ways to accommodate almost any direction you wan to run the channels. Solid construction. Items are only 2 inches high so covering them with mulch was easy. So far they are handling the water from the roof with no issues. I would give the StealthFlow a 5 but I want to see how these handle a heavy rain. I have used them for a couple weeks and no problems. I would recommend this to any one whom wants to hide the downspout.

Of course, there have been no major rain events since purchase. Trenched and buried extension to divert water further from foundation. Water from a few light rains went where I intended it to go, so, everything works. Quick, easy, not too expensive solution. Still working on final routing, this might be the one - when decided, cover completely...

Originally bought two of these to see how well they would work in being able to redirect the drain from my gutters and not wash away the mulch in my landscaping and they work fantastic! I went back and bought more along with a few elbows and extensions for one area that needed a longer path. Easy to fit to the downspout, just had to cut away at the line for 5" spout and the slim profile of the drain fits close to the ground and can be easily covered with mulch to make them nearly invisible.

These are great if you have rock or wood chips to throw on top of. They are hidden nicely when this is done. Look a lot better than the typical drainage hoses. Only complaint is why does it only come in black. The whole purpose is to hide it

Tghese are durable and effective. The curved additional sections are also useful for directing the outflow to where you want in the garden. A very good product and reasonably priced.
