[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was advised that drying with a condensation dryer will feel different after using a vented dryer for years. A condensation dryer produces a 'European dry' and a vented is 'American dry'. Using the condensation dryer, my clothes have always been dry but never shock me with static or feel overly hot. The Bosch feels gentle on my clothes, the controls are straightforward. Cleaning the condensation unit is a little annoying when water drips out, but this is minor compared to how my clothes feel better. I've only had the unit for two months.

Great Dryer Except For One Little Thing....
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my 2nd Bosch condensation (no vent) dryer. They both worked great except for one major flaw. They come with a water pump that gets clogged with lint over time and stops working. When the pumps stops working, the dryer stops working. It's a nuisance and a significant expense to replace. Otherwise, it's a great dryer.

My Bosch Dryer
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Downsized last June, moving from a house with its own laundry room to a condo with shared coin laundry situation. Yuck!
We immediately began the search for a washer/dryer that would work in our new tight confines. After watching several videos on YouTube, we decided the compact, stackable Bosch Washer/Dryer 500 fit the bill, particularly since the dryer is ventless. We installed it in a closet adjacent to the kitchen so we could jump off the kitchen plumbing and 220 V circuit for the stove. Two easy hook-ups my handyman cousin did for me. Install was easy.
We had three initial concerns from our research, the load size, sound level and the moisture that accumulates in the heat exchanger area.
The load size is actually pretty good and I just do a load daily to keep the load sizes reasonable. The sound is not an issue at all, unless your right next to the closet it’s in you don’t even realize its running. As far as the moisture accumulation we just keep a roll of paper towels next to it and wipe the compartment out after every dryer cycle.
We are overall thrilled with our purchase and highly recommend it.

Takes forever to dry. Two bath towels took 2-1/2 hours. Jean never got completely dry. You can't use the dryer at the same time as the washer because it trips the circuit breaker.

We have had 8 different dryers over the years this Bosch 500 being the 8th. This dryer is undoubtedly the worst. Our seventh dryer a Bosch was a good dryer and only required replacing because a pulley failed and Bosch no longer makes a replacement. I would return it if I could.

Quiet And Gets The Job Done
When our Bosch Axxis died after 16 years, we were hesitant to replace it with a condensation dryer. However, because of space constraints the 500 Series dryer was our only choice. We were delighted to find that this unit is drying our clothes nicely, and is much quieter than our previous one. The clothes are dry but come out feeling different. We think it’s because they are not getting as hot which is a good thing. Washing the heat exchanger monthly Is not at all difficult and it’s nice to know all that lint is not building up in the exhaust vent. We would recommend this unit to anyone with space restrictions.

Dryet
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Downsized to small retirement home so had to downsize the washer and dryer too. I love this dryer. I didn't have to install a vent outlet into my wall. I love the selection dial that it is not digital. Simpler usually means fewer issues. I do smaller loads than I used to when I had my big washer dryer. It takes longer to dry but clothes actually feel better coming out of this dryer and very few if any wrinkles. It is also very quiet.

Great dryer!
This is our first Bosch home appliance and we are very happy and impressed with the quality of this dryer! We've gone through several dryers in the last 8 years and we are hoping that this one will last many years! Thank you, Bosch!

Exceeded Expectations
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my second Bosch dryer, but my first ventless one. I carefully read through a lot of reviews and I fully expected to have to relearn laundry for these compact dryers. I was very pleasantly surprised. The clothes dry very well and in some cases take less time than my old dryer (I also own the companion washer and the spin cycle gets the clothes very dry). It's very quiet, but can make a small room hot quickly. I would definitely recommend it. It would have been nice to have the LED inside drum lights on this model as well as the higher level models. It's dark inside. Otherwise a perfect appliance.

OK, so far, I love Bosch 500 Series. No more terrible dryer aluminum lint pipe hooked up to an outside vent - worth its weight in gold. I had to pay $200 each year to have the old fashioned lint duct cleaned. I purchased the washer/dryer stacked and they are absolutely beautiful!

Easy to use
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It's the same as a 'normal' vent dryer. Except the clothes are soft and almost damp feeling when they come out. But just different and I like the clothes don't get overheated and hot. It dries fast. Very gentle on clothes. Lint trap is easy to use and convenient

Awesome ventless dryer with lots of pre-sets

Lots of options, but ...
I purchased this dryer because it does not require an external vent. I guess my expectation was that clothes would still get nice and dry without that venting. My experience so far is that clothes on the featured settings generally come out a bit damp for my taste, and so I am always trying to tweak this by using a setting other than what I am actually drying, or repeat the drying process. Eventually I plan to stack the 500 Series Washer and Dryer, but if that is not someone's intent, you definitely need the base platform because these units sit very low to the ground for accessing the door.

Condensation Dryer
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my first condensation dryer. It took a few weeks of use to get use to it. The clothes don't come out as crisp and dry as they do in a vented dryer, but they are dry. The more I use it, the more I like it.

Complicated
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Generally we are pleased, our concern is since we cannot exhaust to outside so the time to dry clothes is very slow and is using extra energy.

Not at all like the 500 series I bought 12 years ago! Theses are like miniature apartment size. Wow! I was shocked when they were delivered! We bought them unseen because we had been so happy with the 500 Series we purchased 12 years ago. We returned them and bought LG. Major mistake for Bosch

great dryer, uninformed seller
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought the Bosch washer and dryer combo (to be stacked in laundry closet). We appreciate Bosch products but had a rough start due to wrong information and installation issues. Sellers in our area do not know much about Bosch. The dryer: (1) This condensate dryer has a drain line--not a pull-out drawer where the water is collected and that you can empty. The drain line needs to go into the washer's drain pipe--or you will need a sink close by, or a bucket... I would have preferred a condensate drawer. (2) Getting used to the dryer's options and cycles takes some time. Dryer seems to shut off a lot--sensor senses the load to be dry when it is not (yet). Restart, using a different option, will continue the drying process. Overall, I would recommend the appliance. Condensate dryers eliminate the need for a dryer line through a wall or crawlspace. Clothes are being dried gently.

Condensation Dryer
I really love the results of this dryer. Was extremely skeptical about it because I didn't understand how it was supposed to dry. After a service call to replace a part and modify the hoses it works like a dream. Still getting used to the length of time it takes but that is due to being ventless. Great appliance.

Doesn’t Dry Completely
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Not sure entirely why but our dryer doesn't dry completely. We have to run it at least a couple times and choose modes that override the sensors because the machine thinks it's already dry and automatically stops/reduces the time to dry. Otherwise, it's quiet and looks good but we paid a lot of money for this dryer but it fails to do what it's intended to do.

Great Dryer for Couple
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Energy Star dryer is perfect for a couple, drying 4 cu ft of laundry. It is a condensor style dryer which means it needs air flow around the machine and takes slightly more time to fullly dry items. This works well for me since I typically dry clothing for 20 - 30 minutes before hanging up to dry completely. It is very quiet and compact. The condensor system doesn't require a vent to the outside and reduces worry about lint fires. This is not a great dryer if you have a large family, but it's perfect for us.
