super simple to install. no leaks detected yet. it was so easy, that if this works in the long term, I'll probably swap all of my other old original valves just to prevent a leak. We swaped the sink and just the turning off and on of the old original valve, it started leaking so we didn't have a choice on this one. This push on valve was a snap. Just cut it clean, use sand paper to clean it up and shove it right on. It does spin once mounted, but the HD sales guy said it would and that is normal, don't worry!

Gotta say, as an old school DIY plumber, these push on fittings are so much better than compression or having to solder. Way quicker easier, and though it freaks me out the fitting can rotate that makes running the connection to the tank so much easier as well. This was installed in a very narrow space, getting a wrench in here would have been a hassle. I actually cut off the old valve which was out a bit from the wall anyway, pressed the new valve on. Oh rats, I should have put a collar on this (not that anyone can see back in here). Oh, I can just pop this valve off, put the collar on and reseat! Beauty! And quarter turn valves are the way to go. Wish these existed 40 years ago!

Great solution for a clean install with CPVC
Purchased as part of a bathroom refresh project where I had to correct a poor installation done by the original builder of the home. House was built using CPVC and I needed a new shutoff valve for the toilet. I wanted a clean installation so I was looking for an option not to have to use a solvent welded fitting. Also did not want to use a threaded fitting because it requires you to torque on the supply piping during installation (even when using a back-up wrench).
This fit my requirements perfectly. No threaded connection and no solvent required. Just mark final position of valve on supply line (to ensure proper engagement) and slip valve on supply line.
Another nice aspect is the valve will rotate after installation, but not leak. It helped me align the supply line from the valve to the bottom of the toilet.

Shark bite worked well to complete connection without solder or a compression ring. A plumber gave an estimate of $175.00 to replace this water shut off. I was able to accomplish this task for under $12.00. Thank you.

Perfect install still leaks
Installed the product properly and ended up with it leaking out of the top of the knob instead of around the seals. So I guess the seals are good, but no idea why it would leak out of the on/off knob. Super frustrated, and now I have to return it and do a different method.
