We just moved into our brand new home and we chose the Cafe line of appliances. This 24" Control Tall Tub Built-In Dishwasher is a terrific dishwasher. It's beautiful and does exactly what you need a dishwasher to do and that's clean your dishes. It does it so quietly while doing its thing. Our kitchen and family room are one large open space. The dishwasher is literally less than 20 feet from where we spend time watching TV and while it's on, you simply cannot hear it running. You literally have to put your ear up to it to make sure it's on. It holds a lot of pots, pans, dishes and glassware and everything comes out sparkling clean. I have only two minor nits. One, is the touch controls are very sensitive and it's easy to accidentally turn on the controls. And Cafe should have used a stainless finish which is less susceptible to finger prints. Otherwise, this a terrific dishwasher and is a great addition to the other Cafe appliances in our new home.

The utensils rack allows me to put all the knives and forks separately to wash. I also like the Bottle Jets because they can wash each glass with an independent water jet in order to wash thoroughly. Super quiet.

I figured out I needed to as jet dry and now it works beautifully

Had for about 1 month now, so far works well. Cleans the dishes, love the racks and organization. Looks very nice.

I've been using this dishwasher for about 6 weeks and the bottom rack is nice, but the top rack is terrible. The wires are too far apart and my glasses fall over. There is so much extra that it's hard to load--the wine glass supports don't fold out of the way and tall water glasses don't fit underneath them. There are no bowl tines so I have to just lean them onto other bowls. For the cost, this is not what I would buy next time. Sadly, i gave up the best dishwasher i ever had so all of our appliances would match.

I bought all Cafe products for a renovation, the dishwasher is amazing. The bronze hardware makes such a difference and it runs so quiet that you don't even know it is running.

The dishwasher is an excellent choice when replacing the old tired one. It is very quiet when running.

Simply no more cafe appliances. Dishwasher lock control button always on and cannot unlock. Makes random beeps. Repair man says control unit has to be replaced. Out of warranty costs for parts and installation costs nearly a new unit. Stay away from this one if you are seriously looking for a dishwasher. I have a builtin cafe microwave too that died in 2 years. Not sure what is going on with GE Cafe!

I almost gave the washer five stars. My favorite things are the capacity of the unit. The racks are perfect for stacking multiple glass, cups and plate ware. The top rack for miscellaneous items, stairs and silverware is clutch. Very easy to use. As a family of five who cooks a lot we put the unit to the test. The only negative is the detergent dispenser. After each use it doesn’t dispense all the detergent and or pods.

This is a decent dishwasher with some annoying flaws. It looks pretty and runs quietly which is nice. It does a fair job of drying the dishes but only on the Ultra dry setting. The top 3rd rack is a nice feature and there and many wash options which is good too. The racks seem a bit flimsy and the bottom rack especially does not slide in and out easily. It constantly slides off the track and requires two hands to slide it in properly. The plate guides in the bottom rack do not stay in the slots securely and continually fall to the side. The flatware containers also do not sit securely in the rack and shift around. But, it does clean the dishes well and that is the objective.

The gold color of the band with the logo is already flaking off, it is not even a month yet. I don't know what else will go wrong in the reasonable service length of the appliance.

New. I like the features and settings options. That's why we chose this Cafe model. Seems to work well. Replaces another prominent brand name model that lasted only 7 years and 2 months. Sad. I hope this nice Cafe does better. Fingers crossed!

Thrilled with the design and functionality. Runs so quiet

The door does not close. You have to slam it shut. Have had two techs assess with no suggested fixes.

Easy to install, my husband installed himself. It looks very nice, it’s very quiet. We love that it is energy efficient and we have the option to wash without the dishwasher being completely full. There is an option for top rack wash or bottom wash only should we chose to wash a small batch of dishes.

Despite receiving high reviews from Consumer Reports, this dishwasher does a terrible job of washing dishes. I always have food residue left on my "clean" dishes, no matter the setting used. Very disappointed for such a costly dishwasher.

Cleans and dries the dishes very well. It also matches our Cafe refrigerator and range.

The dishwasher is nice looking and has all the features I need! It also holds a lot more than I thought it would. I often have to run it because I have run out of dishes not because it’s full!

We have condensation forming on the top of the door and drips down the front of the unit. Can someone contact us about this issue

The dishwasher cleans the dishes and is quiet. It does a fair job of drying dishes but is probably hindered by the government regulations placed on manufacturers. All the racks could use a better design/quality of rollers for moving in and out. There also seems to be excessive sway/lateral movement when racks are moved in and out. Thermal insulation could use some improvement. The surrounding cabinet, particularly the rear, and granite countertop seem to get warmer than they should. Compared to my other Cafe appliances this dishwasher just doesn't meet the quality of components that I have come to expect.

Great dishwasher can barely hear it running. Looks sharpe and tons of options to use.

This product stopped working after one year and doesn’t clean my anything. It leaves an oil residue on my dishes and it doesn’t stray water everywhere like it’s supposed to.

This is my second GE Cafe' dishwasher, first one lasted 15 years! Looking forward to another good run!! Performance was outstanding!!

Quiet running dishwasher. Not the best use of space to put in plates and bowls, could be better designed to fit in more. The holder for stemmed glassware on the top rack if poorly constructed and doesn’t hold them securely.

I absolutely love my dishwasher! My dishes always come out completely clean( and I don’t even pre wash them) there is no need. I recommend this brand to all my family and friends
