Customer Reviews for Command 2 lb. Medium Clear Outdoor Window Hooks (2 Hooks, 4 Water Resistant Strips)

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I use them around the entire front garage and door area. I also use in the back to hook my ropes from my roll down shades not so they don’t blow around. They work great for about two years, then fall off, but I just replace them and I’m good for another two years. I’ve been doing this for about twelve years now, and I don’t have to drill any holes in my aluminum patio or my garage or front doors.

Put it on as per instructions. Lasted 3 days, then tried again and it failed with in 20 mins did it again 2 more times and it still did not last.

Bought these yesterday for small baskets with seed starts against a window. Used 2 together to hang seed starts in egg cartons. Both baskets have fallen within 24 hours and left a huge mess on our floors- wasted soil and seeds, dirty carpet. Very disappointed, do not buy.

Placed 2, 2lb hooks on outdoor window for small wreaths. Cleaned properly did the rubbing for 30 seconds, waited just over an hour. Next evening it rained and I found my wreaths laying on the mulch. Guess the water weight made heavier, I don't know. What I do know is that they certainly are not weather proof.

I bought a total of 8 hooks and ALL of my wreaths have fallen down. I had to buy new hooks and hang them again! So very frustrating. My wreaths are very lightweight and are usually easy to hang.

Perfect for hanging a wreath on my glass storm door.

Purchased to hang our Christmas wreath from our front door. Door has beveled glass insert. The clear hooks worked perfectly to blend in with the glass behind the wreath.

This product does work but you have to take the time to do it correctly. I used these on my outdoor windows to hang some Christmas decorations. First I wiped the area with just a wet paper towel very well. Then dry thoroughly. Then I wiped with rubbing alcohol. If there is any wetness left after a couple minutes wipe it off with a dry towel thoroughly again. Then place the hook on the window and press and rub for at least 30 seconds very hard. Wait a few minutes and hang your item. These have lasted through below freezing temps and multiple rain falls and wind!

I bought for my front door that has a small window. I followed directions used rubbing alcohol and everything and it did not stick.

Product fell off and ruined a repainted wall. The paint came off and my light weight mask broke.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought 2 packs of these to use in the shower...I thought that if they were for use in the elements they would work in the shower for a few minutes a day....WRONG!!! They fell off the ceramic tiles without anything being hung on them. I love COMMAND PRODUCTS but this one does not stand up to the COMMAND name.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] does not stick - tried to hang lights that were way less than two pounds and about 10 minutes (after following the directions to a t), the hooks and lights dropped off the window - very disappointing

I used this successfully on my window moldings but they will not adhere to glass windows! I have cleaned the windows and adhered to directions twice now and my wreaths will not stay up. Very disappointed!

I purchased these today, and I was excited to hang my fall wreath, but it didn't hold and broke my wreath. I followed all of the instructions on the packagw. I also attempted to hang my wreath several times. I am very disappointed because I have been happy with command products in the past. What a let down.

For over 3 years I've had no issues with the same command hook on my glass door. Using the same Christmas wreath, the hook was done...down it went. I was surprised it lasted all these years to begin with. Especially living in Illinois with the cold winters. I went out and purchased these hooks. The area was cleaned and dried and the hook was applied. Within hours, down the wreath went again. The next day I added a new strip and it lasted maybe 20 minutes. Now my wreath is bent and the lights are no longer working. Bummer. I've been impressed with Command until now. Today's weather was around 25/30 degrees. Definitely within the temperature range.

I bought 2 packs of these this past weekend to hang some really light small decorations. Installed by directions. Went back to hand my decorations on them and 2 of the 4 hooks fell from the slightest touch. The other 2 held, until the next morning, they have fell too. Waste of money.

I am using them as a replacement to suction cups used on my recreation room/attached garage, interior side of windows as hangers for my star-shaped lights that I've had for several years now. Even though I rub a bit of vegetable oil on the suction cups before putting on windows, eventually the oil will have served its purpose and the cups will release from the windows causing my lights to fall. I have faith that this will not occur with the 3M Hooks, but I will certainly let you know if it does.
