A: Yes, but I wouldn't keep too many loose papers on the clipboard for the added weight. A regular clipboard would be slightly larger than 8.5x11. Make sure the surface is clean before you apply the adhesive.

A: It is designed not to pull off the paint. Just follow directions.....pull the tab slowly and steady straight downward as shown. If concerned, try it in a spot where it won't make much of a difference in case the paint is just not strong enough.

Worked great, barely visible, except for the silver hook, which is thin and small. Used the hook on side of a wooden stained cabinet, therefore I did not want the hook to noticeable.

Not damage free

I bought these because my landlady didn't allow me to put holes on the wall. I used these to hang up a few decorative items. And I will say that for most 3 years they held great. My only reason for the extra star. Problem, and reason for the bad review is when I moved out and tried to remove them, they pulled the paint off the wall. A couple pulled enough to make a small whole. Now I have to pay for those repairs. Not happy.
